Fun little Gemini 3 experiment where I asked it "build me a time machine simulator, make it very very good" and then "make it better" a few times. I like that it added calls to Gemini within the application, including adding speech & nano banana images.

Enough with the tattoos, flashy banners, and sugar-coated words. For this giveaway, I wanted to keep things simple and focus on something fun instead. My entry is inspired by a game that once took the entire world by storm. It became so popular and addictive that people everywhere were playing it nonstop, and the hype grew so big that even its own developer eventually decided to remove it. That level of impact has always fascinated me, so I thought it would be fun to create something inspired by that. Alright, this is getting too crazy. Soon you won't even need to code anymore. I setup AutoGPT and it I asked it to build a website for me. And it succeeded. In under 3 minutes. Using react and tailwindcss. All by itself.

Gemini 3 is indeed impressive. In my limited testing with it, it feels like it is able to take on larger, complex prompts with ease and low failure rate. I think one of the biggest strengths that Gemini 3 has is its ability to generate coherent looking 3D voxel or SVG art, which makes it super easy to create game prototypes without having to implement art at all. Made this Heroes of might and magic-inspired overworld prototype with mini map and basic UI in less than 2 hours. Really excited to test this more. Demis Hassabis and Logan Kilpatrick and the Gemini team, you guys really cooked this time!

Finished up a new mechanic for Roll's little game. Now she can pick things up and carry them around! It seems super simple on the surface, but it was actually really complicated to implement from scratch because Roll doesn't carry things like most other game characters do lol.
