Inaugurated the ‘Maharashtra Maritime Summit 2025’ with a deep sense of purpose, to transform our maritime strength into a powerful engine of growth for Maharashtra and India. The sea is not just a boundary, it has always been a bridge to opportunity and prosperity. That belief anchors Maharashtra's Maritime Summit, where today’s deliberations focus on how our maritime strength can fuel growth, improve connectivity, and place India at the forefront of global trade. Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji has always envisioned a port-led economy. His vision is reflected in the 'India Maritime Vision 2030' and 'India Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision 2047'. Inspired by this, Maharashtra is shaping a bold maritime roadmap, rooted in a coastline rich with legacy, especially across Mumbai and Konkan. Mumbai is said to be India’s economic, commercial, entertainment, and financial capital. But what truly made it the economic engine and powerhouse are its two crucial pillars—Mumbai Port and JNPA Port. These ports played a foundational role in shaping Mumbai’s position. To lead in global trade, scale, speed, and seamless connectivity are essential. Vadhvan Port marks a major leap forward. With the Government of India as the major partner and Maharashtra holding a 26% share, development is progressing rapidly.
