In other words she is happy to accept the results of the Lukaszuk Petition - but will do everything she can to kill the real Alberta Independence Petition. An Alberta separatist is claiming members of Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s UCP caucus have signed his petition to launch an independence referendum. “They can sign whatever petition that they want,” said Smith, adding she doesn’t know if any UCP MLAs have signed such a petition.

In Alberta a single judge has just basically tossed out the separatist petition of over 300,000 signatures. Danelle Smith says that they will be appealing it as she believes there has been “an error in law” and it’s anti-democratic. This is going to get ugly.
