Alberta charges 8% corporate tax and Canada takes 15 for a total of 23%, if an independent Alberta Charged 15% it'd keep nearly double and the closest provinces are QC and ON with 26.5%. I would say the threat of separation is obviously not creating instability to great for investment consideration. Currently, even with Canada's heavy taxes and regulatory system, there is investment. Investment will flood into the province if they are able to gain independence.
