Prep step isn’t just for infielders! So many great things about this one clip: •Both players are on time to where a split second after the ball hits the bat, they are landing and reacting. •Both land, punch step to drop step and open up. For example, left fielder lands, punch steps with his right foot which allows him to drop step and GO. •Centerfielder communicates with the left fielder the entire time.

Outfield drop step drill. As the athlete is about to land, throw the ball in either to the right or the left. This works on the drop step and reacting quickly. I am forcing her to jump forward because I want to overemphasize the deep drop step. Because she had to jump forward over cones, it forces her to take a deeper drop step, avoiding the cones as she’s going back.

Was this a mistake from Heaven, or great timing from Mbaye? He’s aware of the danger but the left-foot step he took to anticipate Boly’s run makes intercepting the cross hard. Mbaye times his acceleration right after the scan & on that left-foot step.

Remember: the foot on the floor when a progressing player catches a pass is the gather step and doesn't count towards the legal two steps from that point-which is all Butler does. It makes no difference that both feet were off the floor in between step 1 and step 2. It's still just a step in the rulebook. Legal, as the naked eye can't discern any gap between control of ball and gather step down

This Toppin drive looked funky, and upon review it's a travel. He short hop gathers the ball with right foot down. He then takes a step with left, step with right, those are legal, but then one more step with left for a travel. Refs missed what should've been an easy one
