Yeah although my end goal is more something like Doom Eternal, to be honest. Thousands of decals on the world geometry + atlases to really pop the level of detail very cheaply.

How does it perform at far distances from the origin where clipping becomes an issue between surfaces?

I don't know. The math is all local coordinates, so I guess you'd just have to crank the zoffset if the actual rendering precision gets bad?
