Prototyping a custom animated Onboarding Tutorial view for my Mockview app✌️ Notes: - It doesn’t touch the actual view. Instead, it takes snapshots and presents them in an overlay window. - The given onboarding points transitions smoothly from one point to another.

It would be cool to make the snapshot corner radius the same as the phone to make it look like its a viewport of the phone

This is so cool. Any chance you'll share the code or parts of it? I've been looking for something like this. Else ill manual implement it in my app(s)

Lovely idea but as a user this type of on boarding is the most annoying one

Do you hard code highlite positions and shapes or you somehow identify the interesting elements and find them in the original view first? I wonder if after the view change devs would need to update the tutorial code or if ids are the same, it would work automatically.

I have been working on my onboarding flow for a few weeks. This was my idea to create a help view flow. It is terrific to see it in action. Thank you for sharing.

how did you take the snapshot?

iOS only supports single scene, so finding the scene will grant access to its main window (UIWindow). We can then use UIGraphicsImageRenderer to convert it into an UIImage!

Snapshots of views? Amateur hour. You should be animating the actual views, not pretending it's an onboarding experience
