![【永田ゆり氏の差別発言に抗議します！】 永田ゆり氏の動画での発言について、一部の心ないコメントに対する彼女の戸惑いや、それに対して「だから何なの？」と反論する気持ち自体は理解できます。 しかし、その怒りの矛先を 「だから日本に帰った時はいじめられる」 「日本にはそういう考え方（差別意識）がまだある」と、 日本社会全体の問題へとすり替え、 大きく一般化して語る姿勢には強い違和感を 覚えざるを得ません。 確かに、心ない言葉を投げかける人は一部に存在します。 しかし、それはどの国や地域であっても起こり得ることであり、「日本人はハーフという理由でいじめをする」と 結論づけるのは、あまりにも偏った見方です。 今の日本には、多様な背景を持つ人々を温かく迎え入れ、 当たり前のように共に生きている人々が数多くいます。 さも「日本＝いじめ体質で差別的」であるかのように語ることは、真面目で誠実に生きている大多数の日本人に対する侮辱発言ではないでしょうか。 歴史を振り返ってみても、日本は決して「差別国家」ではありません。 たとえば、過去の戦争において、日本が敵国の捕虜であったとしても国際法を遵守し、その人権や尊厳を重んじて丁重に扱ったという史実は、世界からも高く評価されています。 「日本人は他者を差別せず、和を尊ぶ国民である」と評価する声も決して少なくありません。 問題なのは、「日本人は差別的だ」と一方的に決めつけ、レッテルを貼ることです。それ自体が、実は日本人に対する立派な「差別」であり「偏見」に他なりません。 個別の事象や一部の非常識な声に対して反論する際に、主語を「日本」や「日本人」に極端に拡大し、国全体を貶めるような発信には慎重になるべきです。真の多様性を語るのであれば、まずは自らが無意識に持っている「日本人への偏見」に気づき、フラットな視点を持つことから始めるべきではないでしょうか。 [A Formal Protest Against Yuri Nagata’s Discriminatory Remarks] Regarding Yuri Nagata's recent video, I can understand her frustration with certain insensitive comments and her desire to fire back with, "So what?" However, I must strongly object to how she misdirects her anger by claiming, "This is why mixed-race kids get bullied when they go back to Japan," and "Japan still has a discriminatory mindset." She unfairly broadens the issue, making sweeping generalizations about Japanese society as a whole. It is true that a small minority of people say hurtful things. However, this is a universal issue that can happen in any country or community. To conclude that "Japanese people bully mixed-race children simply for being mixed" is a deeply biased perspective. In today's Japan, countless people warmly welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and live together with them in everyday harmony. To paint Japan as inherently "discriminatory and prone to bullying" is a direct insult to the vast majority of hardworking, sincere Japanese citizens. Historically speaking, Japan is by no means a "nation of discrimination." For instance, there are historical records showing that during past wars, Japan adhered to international law and treated enemy prisoners of war with dignity and respect for their human rights—a fact that has received international praise. Furthermore, many people around the world commend the Japanese as a people who value harmony and do not discriminate against others. The real issue here is the one-sided labeling and stereotyping of Japanese people as "discriminatory." Ironically, this sweeping generalization is in itself a clear act of prejudice and discrimination against the Japanese people. When countering isolated incidents or the ignorant voices of a few, one must be careful not to unfairly expand the subject to "Japan" or "the Japanese people," thereby degrading an entire nation.
