Releasing Three-Roads (MIT License) It's the road library i built for my open world game, it contains an authoring library with a lane-aware graph structure, a threejs mesh renderer and a SVG renderer Most roads are modeled after german road topology, however it is quite easy to change it...

Why Hyderabad Drowns After A 20min Rain? I may not have a simple answer to this complex question but was in Raidurgam area yesterday and this what I saw. This is right next to the Raidurgam metro. It is like the IT hub of Hyderabad and look at the state of things here. Roads are being dug to lay drainage pipes. Locals told me it has been close to a year since they started digging. The debris is just lying on the road, existing drainage seems to be damaged and all the sewer is flowing on to the main road. To make things worse, many are parking right on the road making the congested area much more difficult to commute. There is no parking space at Raidurgam Metro. If someone wants to take the metro, they have to arrive on a separate vehicle to reach. Plus there are a million autos lined up on the road. Traffic police who hide behind trees or corner you in some random street won’t regulate traffic on the main roads. They won’t show a solution to park vehicles but will collect challans. Why are you collecting challans without any space being earmarked for parking? Do you expect people to jump off a parachute and get into a metro? We look at China, Japan with their advanced technology of laying roads in a day and will be wowed. Here governments talk about AI city, Future City and such money minting projects for the government and still get wowed. Why isn’t AI or advanced technology being used to repair roads, drainages or maintain infrastructure in the existing city??? Why this craze to call the existing city a dump and then pumping huge public money into a nonexistent Future City? Why is governance driven by real estate ambitions of a few politicians?

The government has sent Public Works to Ozumba Mbadiwe to patch the road instead of giving it to Julius Berger, Craneburg, Lubrik, or any other reputable contractor to fix it once and for all. With the billions we generate in IGR, we can comfortably construct or comprehensively rehabilitate one major state road every month. I didn't say every year,I said every month. In eight years, that would amount to hundreds of kms of major roads across the state, while the government could still build flyovers, bridges, and interchanges. That is why I keep saying we are being deliberately denied a good road network. This is not a federal problem; it is a Lagos State problem. Go and verify my statement. Even some of the poorest states in Nigeria, with IGRs of just ₦2–₦3 billion, are constructing quality roads. Some Lagosians are richer than some states, yet Lagos is the one without a proper road network. The painful part is that fixing roads is the most basic responsibility of any government. Even a decent guy with no connections, no big portfolio, no influence, and no experience attracting investments could still overhaul the road network of Lagos. He may not build rail lines, seaports, or free trade zones, but he can at least give residents good roads. Look at Lagos today. The skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, and beautiful developments are already there. What is missing is a road network that matches the city. Good roads would completely transform the appearance of Lagos and bring out its beauty. This is not a long-standing Lagos problem. It is a problem of this particular administration. For reasons I still cannot understand, they have deliberately allowed the roads to deteriorate. Instead of comprehensive reconstruction, all we see is patching. We can afford better. One major road every month is achievable with Lagos' revenue. So why are we still patching roads instead of rebuilding them properly? I genuinely hope the government explains why we are deliberately denied the quality road network this city deserves by now.🥺 Babajide Sanwo-Olu Obafemi Hamzat Damilola Sonayon James Seyi Tinubu ENIOLA BADMUS I am Dayo Amusa Lagos Min of the Environment and Water Resources The Lagos State Govt LASEPA Oluwaseun Osiyemi Tokunbo Wahab Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Funke Akindele 📷: Patching of Ozumba Mbadiwe highway as opposed to total overhaul that is required to increase the beauty of the area. Here is the Geometry Nodes Weighted Normals with Laplacian Blur on a full character (a vroid). It easily improves the shading even on game topology with almost no setup. I built this as part of my quest to improve real time toon shading. 3D anime models are popular, but use of dynamic light is rare even among high quality vtuber models. This is for several reasons, but a big one is simply that it takes a lot of Custom Normals work to make 3D cel shading not look like a jagged mess (other pieces of the puzzle are issues like deformations, multiple lights, etc). And fixing Normals is tedious, especially on existing game topology. I have focused on proxy meshes for priority areas like character faces, but they aren't an efficient solution for the whole body + outfit. I wanted something I could just throw on any model and make it at least not a jagged mess anymore even if it wasn't perfect. As you can see from this clip, this does that very well! And vertex groups can be used to control the style of the effect and power. It still can't smooth beyond what the topology density can support, but the topo itself is no longer a problem (for higher res, could be run on a subdivided version of the model and then baked to a Normal Map.) The only changes I made to this model were adding a weld modifier to merge split edges during interpolation, and a vertex group to select the skirt. I have not yet added full handling and logic for detecting edges with big angles like the skirt, or for handling boundaries like on the hair, so both those areas can get better too. You can also see that while it successfully smooths out the Face, it isn't really stylistically correct there. That is still best done with a proxy mesh to define a new shape. This is part of the tools I am working on for Fondant. We are putting together a Blender Addon to release this + a proxy mesh tool for the face, and are working on resolving other problems in-engine to fully bring dynamic light to real time 3D toon shading. Give us a follow, and send them a DM if you are interested in testing these tools as they develop!
