Watch the Legislative Budget Board admit to me that (out of a $24 Billion surplus) the House only plans to give $3.5 Billion back in new property tax relief (not even the $6.5 Billion they claim). Texans deserve their money back… ALL OF IT!

We have a huge infrastructure spending backlog in Tshwane, especially in townships including in Hammanskraal. For years, our spending on infrastructure has lagged behind the city’s population growth. Many capital projects, for roads and storm water, were cancelled by the previous administration. We have taken a decision to correct this problem by allocating funds for infrastructure projects. This actually happened. 2022. California Governor Gavin Newsom announces that California has the biggest state budget surplus in American history. Newsom: "No other state in American history has ever experienced a surplus as large as this." Gavin proposed returning some of the money to the people. With everything being so unaffordable in California, people were happy to be getting a few dollars back from the state. The only problem? It was all a lie. The $97.5 billion surplus was a four year projection that Newsom's people based on faulty revenue assumptions. In 2024 Newsom's team quietly put out a revision that said the 2022 projection of a $97.5 billion surplus was off by $165 billion. The biggest surplus in American history was actually a massive deficit. Absolutely on par for Gavin Newsom.
