Soon: South Mumbai–Thane in just 25 minutes MMRDA has commenced construction of the Elevated Eastern Freeway Extension, a 13.9 km, fully elevated 6-lane high-speed corridor that will dramatically reduce travel time between South Mumbai and Thane to 25–30 minutes, while easing daily congestion on the Eastern Express Highway (EEH)—one of Mumbai’s busiest arterial routes serving lakhs of commuters every day. The corridor will run from Anand Nagar, Thane to Chheda Nagar, Ghatkopar, with key links at Mulund, Airoli, JVLR, Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg, Mankhurd and Ghatkopar. In Thane, the corridor will merge seamlessly with the Anand Nagar–Saket Elevated Road near the erstwhile Mulund Octroi Naka, forming a continuous high-speed route. It will also provide seamless onward connectivity to the Samruddhi Expressway. Once completed, the project will significantly improve traffic flow, lower emissions, and offer a faster, more reliable and greener commute to lakhs of citizens, while boosting economic activity across the MMR. As part of MMRDA’s commitment to sustainable development, and in consultation with experts and green activists, the Vikhroli–Ghatkopar stretch was realigned to save 127 Pink Trumpet trees. A total of 4,175 new trees will be planted as compensatory green cover. Key Highlights: ✔️ Construction of 2.5 m diameter monopiles, robust piers, 40-m spans, and a 25-m single-segment superstructure ✔️ Single-pile, single-pier system — first-of-its-kind for an elevated road in MMR ✔️ Up–down ramps near Mulund Check Naka, Airoli Junction & Vikhroli Junction ✔️ 3+3 lane elevated toll plaza near Navghar Flyover ✔️ Designed for uninterrupted, safe, high-speed movement Status Update: • Preliminary survey works completed • Test piles completed • Geotechnical investigation mostly done • Utility identification substantially completed • Working piles and pier casting in progress A faster, greener and more connected Mumbai Metropolitan Region is taking shape — one pillar at a time. #MMRDA #EasternFreewayExtension #MumbaiToThane #25MinuteCommute #MumbaiInfrastructure #ViksitMMR #UrbanMobility #NextGenConnectivity #MumbaiDevelopment #SeamlessConnectivity #HighSpeedCorridor #MumbaiInMinutes #FutureReadyMumbai #SustainableMumbai #TransformingMMR #MMRGrowth #MumbaiMetropolitanRegion #TransformingMMR #ReimaginingMMR #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR CMO Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee MAHARASHTRA DGIPR PIB India

Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda strongly came down on his own government machinery and the contractor during an inspection of the ongoing Metro Phase 2B project from Nagawara to Bagalur Cross on Sunday, openly expressing his frustration over prolonged delays, poor execution, and the hardships being imposed on the public.During the inspection, the minister pulled up Metro officials and contractors for incomplete pillars, blocked roads, and footpaths filled with construction debris, which have severely affected traffic flow and pedestrian movement. He ordered the immediate clearance of waste, removal of unnecessary roadblocks, and directed officials to speed up construction work to reduce inconvenience to commuters and residents.Byre Gowda expressed shock that Metro pillars at some locations have remained incomplete for nearly two years. Questioning the lack of accountability and planning, he asked officials why a stretch of road had been shut for over a year with little visible progress. “You shut this stretch a year ago. What have you been doing all this time? Does it take one year just to complete a pile cap? Now you are saying in two months you will do magic. Where is the pillar? I can’t even see it,” he remarked sharply, taking a direct dig at the contractor. He also criticised the irrational blocking of roads, pointing out that construction activity at one location was causing road closures and traffic chaos elsewhere. “If work is happening at Hebbal, then block Hebbal. Why are you closing roads here and troubling people unnecessarily?” he asked, highlighting the lack of coordination and sensitivity towards public suffering. The minister further flagged the pathetic condition of footpaths and service roads, which were clogged with debris and construction waste, making movement extremely difficult and unsafe for pedestrians and motorists. He directed officials to clear the debris immediately and restore access for the public. Acting on his instructions, officials cleared the waste on the spot in his presence. Raising serious concerns over worsening traffic congestion in North Bengaluru, Byre Gowda pointed out that several roads had been blocked without justification, leading to daily traffic snarls and long delays for commuters. He instructed officials to remove avoidable barricades without delay and ensure smoother vehicular movement.Criticising the authorities for testing public patience, the minister stressed that prolonged and poorly managed construction work was unfairly burdening citizens who have been enduring inconvenience for years. He warned officials that delays, lack of planning, and casual execution would not be tolerated any longer, and called for strict accountability and better coordination to ensure Metro works are completed at the earliest. He подчеркed that development cannot come at the cost of endless suffering for the public, and authorities must respect the patience and time of Bengalureans #bangalore #bengaluru #bagalur #yelahanka Krishna Byre Gowda ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. 📣 Here's an important message for Cape Town residents on the #TaxiStrike from Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis. "Given ongoing acts of violence and intimidation perpetrated by taxi associations in our city, I would like to update you on where we are today, Monday 7 August: 1) We will not negotiate with a (literal) gun to our heads. There can be no further discussions with local Santaco leadership until their violence stops. Simple. We call on Santaco to stop the violence immediately. 2) The rule of law is not up for negotiation. We cannot negotiate which portions of the law will apply to some people and not to others. This is not the way we will ever build a successful society in South Africa. The law applies equally to everyone. We will apply the law without fear or favour. 3) We are protecting residents and commuters by opening roads, running buses with escorts, and arresting those perpetrators of violence. Our first priority is protecting residents from violent taxi thugs. Most road closures and blockages have been cleared very quickly, and traffic is free flowing for the most part. 4) On Friday there was a productive meeting of City, Province and Santaco where constructive proposals were made and agreed to. On Saturday, Santaco made entirely new demands, and since then there has only been an escalation of violence. Santaco is free to end their strike and accept the terms of Friday’s discussion at any time. If Santaco does not choose to end their strike, then we will need to be prepared to stay the course. We are prepared to do so. As ever I’m grateful for the many people from every neighbourhood and community who have been in contact constantly to reaffirm their support for doing what is right despite difficulty." - Geordin Hill-Lewis

NEWS UPDATE & ANALYSIS NOVA KAKHOVKA DAM DESTROYED MORNING JUNE 6 The very large hydroelectric powerplant (HPP) dam over the Dniepr in northern Kherson oblast (region) has been destroyed. Exactly what happened is unclear, Ukraine and its western allies blame Russia. Some russian sources blame Ukraine. There is also a third alternative. The dam could have been damaged from earlier explosions. Ukraine did its best during the Khersonoffensive to cut the road on top of the dam with serveral missile strikes, and the dam might have got structural damage then. Earlier this year Ukraine closed the reservoirs further north on the Dniepr and some experts thought that was to lower the water level in the reservoir to make offensive operations easier. But later Ukraine opened up the water. The reservoir has been filling up with this water and it has put pressure on the Nova Kakhovka dam. There are no reasons for Russia to blow up the dam, since the water flowing to the south will mainly overflow the russian left eastern side of the river (look on the before and after maps) and the russian fortifications there. So the main alternatives are either that the ukrainian side destroyed the dam, but no large explosions has been seen, in preparation for the summer offensive, or that the dam collapsed under water pressure due to structural damage. The dam continue to collapse in sections and the water level in the reservoir sink with 15 cm each hour. For now there are no problems with cooling of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP). But it might have to be closed if cooling becomes a problem. Water supply of Crimea are not threatened. The canal to Crimea starts north of the dam and it can be closed if water levels in the reservoir becomes to low. The small reservoirs along the canal are also filled to 80 percent. Power supply might become a large problem in large parts of Ukraine both in ukrainian and russian controlled territory if both Nova Kakhovka HPP and ZNPP are put out of function. Ukrainian economy will also get a hit since Ukraine has been able to export surplus electricity to Europe, which will be impossible now. If the ukrainian side close the dams north of the reservoir, water levels can get very low in the reservoir. It will make an attack over the reservoir much easier, but first the freed bottom must dry up, otherwise it will be hard to support anything else than very light infantry units. South of the dam some swy it will make an ukrainian attack easier since russian defence lines will be destroyed, but for a while the left eastern back will be overflowed and the Dniepr much broader. This will make it hard to build bridges and move heavy equipment over the river.

Dear X Family, PLEASE RETWEET for the 23,000 beagles inside Marshall Bioresources 💔 Beagle Freddy stands proud with protestors across road from Marshall BioResources (MBR). Freddy returns today with some MBR survivor beagles expected to join us! Only two NY news stations cover our rural location in North Rose, NY. We've had ongoing correspondence with both stations, but they can't guarantee coverage today. We still have Saturday for them to come. Here's yesterday's report from the protest. 5/8/25 Day 1 – Protest Report This morning, Marshall BioResources’ owner, Scott Marshall had State Trooper stationed at the front gate. He had employees wear masks and park in a public lot a quarter-mile away -- the same lot we had planned to use. But no worries -- we’re proudly lined up across the road from the main gate, standing strong for the 23,000 beagles trapped inside. Despite the chilly 46°F rain, spirits were high and new friendships formed. Freddy the beagle made an appearance too -- a reminder of why we’re here. Half the crowd today came from out of state, and we were heartbroken to see a school bus dropping off children right at Marshall’s gate this afternoon. We still have Friday and Saturday to make noise! Media coverage is tough out here in rural NY, but we’re not giving up! More people are arriving Friday and momentum is building. We’re here. We’re loud for the beagles inside! Marshall BioResources breeds beagles for outdated testing. They euthanize puppies for failing to meet "standards" ---including different eye colors! These puppies could have gone to loving homes. 🔥 The surplus of 23,000 beagles is costing Marshall BioResources more money every day. With the recent closure of NIH’s dog labs, more labs shutting down, and others unable to transition to cruelty-free testing, we fear Marshall will begin euthanizing their inventory of beagles. You're invited to our protest at Marshall BioResources. Today thru Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at 7 AM EST, at 5800 Lake Bluff Road, North Rose, NY 14516 outside of Marshall BioResources. Let’s keep this protest peaceful, safe, and effective. Please review the following: 1️⃣ Dogs Are Welcome! 🐾 Bring your furry friends—but have their up-to-date vaccine records ready (Health Van certificates are okay!). This is required by County. 2️⃣ Stay on Public Property 🚫 Do not enter private property. Stay on sidewalks, easements, or public lots. 3️⃣ Signs & Posters ✍️ Creative signs are encouraged! Please avoid wooden/metal sticks—use pool noodles or just hold your sign proudly. 4️⃣ Keep Roads Clear 🚗 Do not block vehicles or traffic. Let's stay respectful and focused. 5️⃣ Peaceful Protest Only ⚖️ We do not condone illegal activity. But remember—you have a Constitutional Right to protest peacefully for those who can't speak. 6️⃣ No Alcohol or Drugs 🚫 Keep it clean and safe for everyone—two-legged and four-legged friends alike. 7️⃣ Stay Hydrated 💧 Bring water and stay refreshed. 8️⃣ Plan for Comfort 🪑 Bring a chair or take breaks when needed. 🍽 Food nearby: Riley’s Grill (vegan options available!) ⛽ Gas: North & South Main Street, 5 mins away 💛 PROTEST SUPPORT HOURS (by Beagle Lovers And Rescuers) Thursday, May 8: AM – PM EST Friday, May 9: AM – PM EST Saturday, May 10: AM – PM EST If you can't attend, please consider donation to our nonprofit (link in my profile) so we can continue fulltime presence at Marshall BioResources for the beagles. Poland 🇵🇱🇪🇺 closes Belarus-Polish 🇵🇱🇪🇺🇧🇾 border & terminates 30 daily Chinese 🇨🇳 freight trains worth over €25 billion in trade. As the #NorthernCorridor ends, the #MiddleCorridor will likely expand👇 ✅ Military exercises (Zapad 2025 🇧🇾🇷🇺) & drone attack by Russia 🇷🇺 on Polish/EU territory pushes Poland 🇵🇱🇪🇺 to close it’s borders with Belarus 🇧🇾 for security reasons. ✅ On an average day in 2025 approximately 25-30 freight trains carrying cargo from China 🇨🇳 arrive at or cross the Polish-Belarus 🇵🇱🇪🇺🇧🇾 border (primarily at the Brest-Terespol/Małaszewicze crossing point). ✅ The shutdown of the border has halted all rail traffic, including 🇨🇳 China-origin trains, leading to significant backlogs of westbound trains on the Belarusian 🇧🇾 side. ✅ This rail route handled freight volume as part of broader China-Europe Railway Express (Belt & Road Initiative) representing 90% of all Chinese 🇨🇳 land-exports to Europe 🇪🇺. ✅ Trains departed from major Chinese hubs (e.g. Xi'an, Chongqing, Yiwu, Zhengzhou) via Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 and Russia 🇷🇺 entering Belarus 🇧🇾 at Orsha and reaching Brest. Due to differing track gauges (Russian/Soviet 🇷🇺 system broad gauge in Belarus vs. standard European gauge in Poland 🇵🇱🇪🇺) cargo was transshipped at terminals like Małaszewicze before continuing to destinations in Germany 🇩🇪🇪🇺, Netherlands 🇳🇱🇪🇺, Belgium 🇧🇪🇪🇺 and rest of EU. ✅ This border is main EU 🇪🇺 entry point for 90% of China-Europe rail freight with transit times from China averaging 12-18 days. ✅ Volume Data for 2025: China-Europe rail freight reached 19.000 annual trips in 2024 (a 10% year-on-year increase from 2023) carrying 2.07 million TEUs valued at €25 billion. ✅ Projections and early 2025 data indicate continued growth to 21.000-22.000 trips annually, driven by demand for electronics, machinery and consumer goods. ✅ The advantage of rail - to date - has been speed and avoidance of maritime blocks/disruptions (Suez/Red Sea). Maritime freight East to West takes 30-40+ days whereas train could take as little as 12 days. If the closure continues at Belarusian-Polish border, it will push trade through the #TransCaspianCorridor #MiddleCorridor. ✅ #InvestorForum in November this year will increase in importance due to infrastructural investors and logistics needs being amplified (rail, road & sea) both in terms of containerisation and critical infrastruture along Caspian to hedge and diversify trade routes into Caucasus 🇦🇿🇦🇲🇬🇪, Black Sea 🇪🇺🇺🇦🇷🇴🇧🇬 and Türkiye 🇹🇷. ✅ As trade routes increasingly get closer down or blocked due to political, conflict & natural reasons, the EU & it’s partners continue to protect the “open and free navigation and exportation of goods and services”. Nebius is going to be a Trillion-dollar company! Twelve months ago, Nebius was trading near $18 per share with roughly $55 million in quarterly revenue. Today the stock trades above $225, quarterly revenue just came in at $399 million, up 684% year over year and the company has a contracted revenue backlog that would make most Fortune 500 companies envious. But the current market cap, sitting around $56 billion, prices in almost none of what is actually coming. The first reason Nebius reaches a trillion is the Meta deal alone. In March, Nebius signed a five year agreement with Meta worth up to $27 billion, one of the largest infrastructure contracts Meta has ever signed with any company under which Nebius will provide $12 billion in dedicated AI capacity across multiple locations, with Meta also having committed to purchase up to an additional $15 billion in third-party capacity over the same period. That contract barely starts until 2027, which means the revenue impact is not yet reflected in any trailing metric. The second reason is Microsoft, which is currently receiving its first deployment phases from Nebius and is expected to contribute at full annual run rate starting in 2027. Between Meta and Microsoft alone, Nebius has signed agreements worth more than $46 billion in total contracted value before a single additional customer is counted. The third reason is the ARR trajectory, which is the fastest revenue ramp of any infrastructure company in the public markets. Nebius ended 2025 at $1.25 billion in ARR and is guiding to $7–9 billion ARR by year-end 2026. Wall Street analysts project revenue growing 523% in 2026 and another 206% in 2027. One of the company's own institutional shareholders has already suggested the year-end ARR could come in more than twice the guided range if the Meta and Microsoft ramps hit their timelines. The fourth reason is Nvidia's direct involvement. Nvidia made a $2 billion strategic equity investment in Nebius and has given Nebius early access to the Vera Rubin platform, its next generation GPU architecture as part of the delivery commitments to Meta. The fifth reason is the capacity buildout, which is being funded by the revenue itself. Nebius invested $2.5 billion in capex in Q1 alone, CEO Arkady Volozh has guided for $16–20 billion in total investment for 2026, and contracted capacity is now on track to exceed 4 GW by year end with new owned sites in Pennsylvania at 1.2 GW and Finland at 310 MW now under development. The more capacity they build, the more they can sell and demand continues to outpace supply at every stage of the buildout. When you run the math on a business with $7–9 billion in ARR exiting 2026, a $27 billion Meta contract that begins in earnest in 2027, a Microsoft relationship at full run rate, 206% analyst projected growth in 2027, and a structural relationship with Nvidia that gives it hardware access no competitor can match, a trillion-dollar valuation within three to four years is not a moonshot. It is the base case if the compounding holds, and every data point so far suggests it is. Milk Road Pro called this one early. Our analysts added Nebius to the portfolio when it was still flying under the radar, and we are sitting on a massive gain on that position right now. If you want to see what else we are building conviction on before the rest of the market catches up, come join us at Milk Road Pro at the link in bio/below!

🔴 UN: Humanitarian Teams Scaling Up in Gaza, Access Still Severely Restricted Despite a fragile ceasefire, the UN says aid delivery to Gaza remains heavily constrained by Israeli control of crossings and visa restrictions on international NGOs. Here’s what to know: ▪️ 1. Rafah Still Closed: UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher, traveling from Cairo to Rafah, called the crossing a vital “lifeline” but supplies from Egypt must still detour through Israeli inspection at Kerem Shalom, blocking direct access. He urged all crossings to open for a “massive scale-up.” ▪️ 2. NGO Access Blocked: OCHA said Israel continues to deny visas and shipment authorizations for many international NGOs, while UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric confirmed that “a number of NGOs are no longer certified to work in Gaza.” The suspensions have forced UN agencies to absorb most relief operations, relying on local groups already decimated by war. Fletcher said humanitarian teams have been “ready for this moment” for weeks but cannot deliver aid at scale until international NGOs are allowed back in to provide logistics, staffing, and field distribution. ▪️ 3. Aid Efforts Under Ceasefire: On Tuesday, 21 UN partners served 960,000 meals through 175 kitchens. Supported bakeries produced 100,000 bread bundles. UNICEF distributed 1 million diapers, while WHO sent three truckloads of surgical supplies to Gaza City’s central pharmacy. ▪️ 4. Hospitals Expanding: WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros said the supplies will serve 10,000 people. Two new operating theatres are now functioning at Al-Shifa Hospital, with plans to add 120 beds for trauma and orthopedic care. ▪️ 5. Clearing Access Roads: UN teams have cleared main roads to Erez and Zikim crossings in the north, preparing for potential reopening. They are now assessing the long-closed Salah al-Din road. ▪️ 6. Destroyed Neighborhoods: UN staff visited Sheikh Radwan in Gaza City, where returnees described urgent needs for water, shelter, food, and debris removal. Families across Gaza are living in tents or clearing rubble from damaged homes. ▪️ 7. Aid Pipeline Expands: Through the UN 2720 Mechanism, nearly 200,000 metric tons of supplies have Israeli clearance to enter. Goods now staged in Jordan, Cyprus, Israel, and the West Bank include wheat flour, food parcels, hygiene kits, tents, and medical equipment. ▪️3,500 Tons Delivered So Far: Between Friday and Tuesday, UN teams collected 3,500 tons of essential supplies from the Kissufim and Kerem Shalom crossings. Deliveries continue each day where access is permitted. The UN said it does not yet have verified truck counts but expects to provide its own data soon.

🚨Relief effort update - yes it is a long post, but please read. I want to start off by explaining how strong the Appalachia people are, because the scale of devastation is truly bizarre. We have had team members on the ground reach some of the most rural places that havent seen a single "agency" since this has all happened. Our crews have reached people whose homes no longer exist, who have lost loved ones and who have nothing but the clothes on their backs, people completely cut off from the outside world. That being said, the common theme through every one of these interactions, is that the citizens who live in these communities still have their heads held high and have rolled up their sleeves and begun the process of trying to clean the FEET thick layer of mud covering everything to see what is even left to salvage. These people are "mountain tough" and their resolve is unbreakable, but they need our help, AS A COUNTRY. One of our forward crew member on the ground, providing updates on road conditions into towns that are cut off and need help, has hiked into several places that have been neglected. The pictures i include in this post are of the area in and surrounding the Green Mountain area. The level of destruction depicted in the photos and videos do not do the scope of the damage justice, but you can tell from the imagery, that this situation is not only challenging, but dire. Critical infrastructure is completely decimated in most of these places and will take months if not longer to repair or rebuild. We have coordinated a group of Doctors that will be bringing life saving medical supplies, well above and beyond basic first aid needs. They will be traveling by helicopter to areas that are inaccessible by vehicle to give that life saving aid. We have been able to get supplies into the remote town of Marshall, where their homes have been either damaged by the flood waters to the point of being unlivable or just completely deleted from the earth. Talking with these people, they have concerns for the future, and not just the coming days or weeks, but in the near future as winter creeps into the area. As that happens, the challenges they are presented with become exponentially more difficult and so much more dire. From the difficulty of building temporary housing to the logistics and availability of supplies to rebuild, the geographical location of this devastation is creating more problems to overcome than what most would associate with "hurricane damage". As the country descends on Asheville, supplies and help has become bountiful there and our operations will begin to shift further into the mountains to help those that have not had help. Supply needs are changing rapidly, and as they do we are having to pivot on what we are procuring to bring into the affected areas. I call on the people of this country to help us help these people. They have been largely neglected and are deserving of our compassion and help in any way that we can deliver it. I can't speak for the government and what they are or aren't doing, but i can speak for our efforts. We are just everyday citizens, husbands, wives, sons and daughters, standing together to help those in need. We will not stop, until our mission is complete.
