Robotic colonoscopy in action 🔦🤖🕹️ This first-in-human study presented today by Marcin Romanczyk at #UEGWeek showcases the Triton system, which uses a remotely controlled colonoscope and overtube incorporating dual dynamic rigidisation technology. By selectively stiffening flexible segments, it maintains scope configuration, minimises looping and enables precise tip deflection and... show more

Amazing and terrible😅 I feel like a horse seeung a car late 19th century

13 minute intubation time? Whaat? It should be 3 minutes or less.

It might be because there is a learning curve to overcome, as this has completely different controls and including overtube management.

When will we get robotic prep ? Like, when the robot has nausea, vomiting , cramps and diarrhea for me ?

This combined with CADe/CADx should be the holy grail of diagnostic colonoscopy in the future. It should also accelerate training pathways and improve earlier access to therapeutic training. This is indeed the future. Cost will determine its scalability.

Honestly, which problem does it solve?

Amazing!!

🤩🤩🤩

@stevenbollipo The future is here …

black mirror episode with not-dark ending?

Well, if colonoscopy can be done remotely, than at some point, AI will be able to take over.

i would prefer real doctor doing this procedure. AI use, robotics use should be procedure dependant, imo. Not all procedures are for skynets or ultrons or vision
