RT in #DyingLighTheBeast is pretty limited and doesn't really add much visually considering the performance cost. For example, RT Reflections don't apply to large bodies of water or ponds, they're restricted to puddles, small set of materials and some rough reflective surfaces.

#PRAGMATA Demo. Ray Tracing Off vs On. Ray Tracing in this game is quite efficient and doesn’t cost much but at the same time its quality is not particularly high. At native 1440p, there is noticeable noise in RT reflections. The game could definitely benefit from additional RT quality settings, or support for DLSS Ray Reconstruction and FSR Ray Regeneration.

Monday calls for a big bowl of Bucatini Carbonara! Recipe below 👇 Ingredients: 8 Oz dried bucatini pasta 2 oz evoo ¼ cup pancetta 1 ½ tbsp ground pepper ¼ cup pecorino Romano egg yolk Procedure: 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Season liberally with salt. Place the Bucatini in the pasta water. 2. Heat the olive oil over a medium flame in a large saute pan, and add the pancetta to the pan. Cook the pancetta until it has rendered and the meat is caramelized, about 3 minutes. Add the black pepper to the pan to toast, about 1 minute. 3. Add the shallots and garlic to the pan and soften, about 1 minute. Do not let the shallots or garlic get any caramelization. Season with salt. Add 4 ounces of pasta water to the pan to stop the cooking. Set aside. 4. Add the pasta to the pan when it is al dente, add to the pan. Bring to a simmer and when the sauce begins to thicken, turn off the heat. Whisk in the egg yolk and begin to toss in half of the cheese. Add a splash of water if too thick, or lightly cook over medium heat if too loose. Be careful not to curdle the egg. Finish the dish by tossing and garnishing with the remaining cheese.

I don’t know exactly if this is a graphical issue or just bad implementation of SSR but this water quality in Ghost of Yotei is some of the worst I’ve ever seen in a video-game. Bad SSR, extreme ghosting around the character and incorrect representation of the current scenery. In this instance here you can see the water reflecting yellow trees? when the whole scenery is grey. This is why I think Ghost of Yotei should have had either RT based water reflections or simply a better implementation than this...

Giga Texas’ Test Track construction is making more progress with the majority of the large “oval” track having had asphalt laid down and much of the inner track surfaces too. Still more work to complete the infield and the chicanes, btu they also have been doing some asphalt work around the perimeter and in where parking areas might be located. The ponds and drainage section of the infield has had much of the old TBM slurry mixed soil removed and grade work is evident. I don’t know what the plans are for this area, but I would think Cybertruck would like an off-road play area … don’t you? 😎
