From consultations and diagnostics to medicines and referrals, the work remained focused on continuity, so that once someone stepped in for care, they were not left to fend for themselves. Yesterday in Metiaburuz, I spent time with families who came carrying worries they had lived with for far too long. I listened to their concerns, met the doctors and teams on the ground, and saw first-hand how much reassurance timely, respectful care can bring. What stood out was the dignity with which people were able to seek help, without fear of cost, delay, or uncertainty. The trust and affection shown by the people throughout these days have been deeply humbling. But this moment is not a full stop. It is a reminder of what responsible governance must continue to look like. I often wonder what good deeds in my past life have granted me the opportunity to serve the mothers, brothers, and sisters of this Parliamentary Constituency, and work for their well-being. It’s humbling to witness the overwhelming support #Sebaashray has received in just a few days. Yesterday in Falta AC: 👉 14,120 INDIVIDUALS benefitted from 40 HEALTH CAMPS. 👉 14,941 PATIENTS received free medicines. 👉 12,945 underwent DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. 👉 15 CRITICAL PATIENTS were referred to specialty hospitals for advanced care. Through our model camps across two blocks, 22 citizens who had been living in darkness due to cataracts were referred for surgery at Kalyani Eye Hospital in Nimtouri and have now regained their sight. A small act of kindness can travel a long way in transforming lives. When the people of Nandigram reached out to me to organise Sebaashray health camps, I resolved on the very first day to act. On 15th January, I personally visited Nandigram and launched this initiative, and what followed has been a deeply life-affirming journey. True public service is that which transcends barriers, sets aside political calculations, and devotes itself wholly to those in need. That is the true strength of Sebaashray. It has restored hope and dignity to people who had long felt neglected and unheard. Here, their voices were acknowledged, their concerns addressed, and their needs met with compassion and care. The love and blessings showered by the people of Nandigram will remain inscribed in my heart in golden letters. I salute every doctor, nurse, healthcare worker, and volunteer who selflessly shouldered this responsibility and took quality healthcare to people’s doorsteps. As long as the people of Nandigram remain in need, Sebaashray will return to serve them. That is my promise.
