Why on earth didn't trump diversify into differing AI platforms, instead putting all his eggs into one basket. Maybe DS is early stages similar to a TikTok moment where a Chinese co. ByteDance, overtook American social media FB Instagram etc in terms of growth/engagement.

Also, this seems another black swan in the making, unless Trump wants to buy DeepSeek and/or regulate it somehow

Here is a thought. Microsoft, Google, OpenAI say that open source AI id=s too dangerous to leave in the hands of individuals so Trump declares all open source AI models illegal.
