Nobody wants to hear this but, it would destroy you psychologically. Basic income would shift millions into a deeper depression. On a macro level it would create a spiral of inflation. So you would have a basic income but everything would constantly become out of reach due to price increases. In short a disaster. I will wait now for the scathing insults and unhinged attacks.

So, an entire country of entitled slackers doing nothing and being paid for it. Spending all their “free” money on unhealthy lifestyles making the “free” healthcare system even worse. The makings of societal collapse happening right before our eyes

Job market is awful for so many people, the economy sucks, life is unaffordable while rich people get richer by price gouging everywhere and not any actual hard work. Better we have a safety net so people can survive but still have a purpose to want to work somewhere & thrive

This is really stupid, while this is a viable direction that may solve some issues that are on the horizon, there is no white paper, no justification, no body of evidence that we can review to help us make a proper critical decision. Trying to pass a bill at this early stage is devious and reeks of a predetermined plan of the WEF.

ran a basic income pilot in ontario my friend Prof Jim @UrbanHealthProf was in charge of giving the government data on the pilot. I was thinking about joining that pilot but he advised me not to because I wouldn't be protected from clawbacks It's why I can't support a new basic income unless there's legislation to prevent clawbacks If there's clawbacks I can't support any basic income
