You can file a complaint with the Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights. Your complaint should indicate how the racist behavior impacts your education Get their names, videos of the event and other identifying evidence & evidence of the harassment. Some people are making lists of people whose student visas should be cancelled, among other things Also you might write to or visit Senator Katie Boyd Britt. Did you call the police? Tell them to leave?

This is a very teachable moment for these young pro Palestinian people. In order for them to reap the benefits of a well rounded education they should be fully immersed in experiential learning. For those who watch this video and think — “What’s new? A handful of radical Ivy League students chanting for the expulsion of “Zionists” [Jews] from Harvard, directly outside of Hillel. So what? Free speech. They’re not physically endangering anyone. Calm down.” Imagine college students openly chanting for the expulsion of Black students and faculty, directly outside of The Memorial Church. And imagine if Harvard did nothing to address it. You wouldn’t “calm down.” You’d speak up. So, why are you silent now?

Hillels, Chabads all serve Jewish students. Providing a Jewish home for the majority that includes Shabbats, holidays, religious learning, social programs, & yes our connection to Israel. Treasury may argue that by taking a specific political position against Jewish Americans, a position that would not be taken against other ethnic groups, Harvard is politicizing itself and thus subject to ordinary tax treatment. This would be disastrous to Harvard University and Harvard Corporation and this could involuntarily drag along other endowments into a taxable status. 3) Donors, both Jewish and the 90% of alumni who do not share Antisemitic views will vote with their feet and as much as a predicted 60-90% of future donations may be lost from the alumni base. Non-Jewish alumni will be reluctant to step into the political crossfires by supporting an institution that explicitly condones and protects genocidal statements (shockingly in President Gay's own words).
