Traditional mechanical linkage between the steering wheel and front wheels is replaced by electronic sensors and actuators. This allows for: • Quicker variable steering ratio • 170 degrees lock-to-lock • 4-wheel steering (up to 10 degrees in the rear) • Smaller yoke steering wheel • Much tighter turning radius Mercedes says more in the future will be steer-by-wire. At least 15 more glossy & deep gold Cybercabs at the Giga Texas outbound lot today, with more working their way over from the main factory. It detects passengers based on size, weight but also heart rate and breathing. Tesla saving children left behind in too hot a vehicle. It might usher in the end of the seatbelts altogether by improving airbag deployment based on size and weight of the occupants.
