We asked Elias (Canopy Labs) about crossing the uncanny valley. Canopy Labs is building the foundation models to power digital humans indistinguishable from real ones. "The architecture matters a lot. We are starting off with an LLM that understand what humans are like." "They know that we drink water, for example. We are trying to teach them how to speak and move." "Rather than putting in text tokens, we are taking in movement and speech tokens and outputting those as well."
