Since the 1980s, the Sahara has shrunk by roughly 8%. Satellite data show widespread greening, a pattern that is playing out across the planet. Around 50% of Earth's vegetated land has become significantly greener, an area roughly three times the size of the United States. The dominant driver is...

Excellent. Now do how warmer winters saves more lives than hotter summers kill and blow everyone’s minds 🤘🏼

CO2 fertilization is well documented. I'd still push back on it being the dominant driver. Nitrogen deposition, irrigation and grazing recovery all show up in the same satellite record.

Interesting bonus of greening the planet is called evapotranspiration effect. Greenery cools the air; think of it as the opposite of urban heat islands caused by concrete & lack of plants. Feel free to extrapolate how evapotranspiration effect will affect global warming.

The climate debate becomes distorted when only negative effects are allowed into the conversation. Satellite observed greening and improved plant water efficiency from higher CO₂ are real. That doesn’t erase climate risks, but honest science should acknowledge benefits as well as costs.

The scam becomes more apparent as time goes by, if only governments would have listened to the 5th graders for advice.

I wonder what % can be attributed to reclamation projects? I saw a few while watching “Itchy Boots” travel series on YouTube

CO2 is plant life’s only source of nutrition. Everything else is water, vitamins(fertilizer), and sunshine. Feed the plants get more plants. From plankton (beginning of the food chain)to the deserts of North Africa the planet is getting greener🤗. More food, more oxygen leads to more life on this marble.

@ClimateThere Technology is also allowing farmers to irrigate areas allowing them to grow wheat. Here’s a picture from last week between Aswan and Abu Simbel.

Also observed by the profusion of weeds in my vegetables patch. Far more prolific than they have ever been.

Why do you claim that rainfall is not the main driver?

#Carbon is the element of life. Anyone who wants to banish carbon from the Earth cannot be a friend of life. #CO2 #climate

Weißt du was super wäre? Wenn es dazu verifizierte Nachweise gäbe. Also wenn du Quellen hättest wäre das super. Dann können wir so etwas weiter verbreiten.

it is the other way round, with rising temperature being the driving factor ; it has happened multiple times before already, after every glaciacion period
