Fable 5 is back. So I gave it one of my favorite frontend tests: one prompt + one reference image. The task: rebuild a 3D globe dashboard.🌎 The result was almost too good. It did not just make a working page. The texture, lighting, spacing, depth, glass panels, and overall layout were all close to the reference. Some parts felt nearly pixel-level.

I plugged ChatGPT Luna 5.6 and Claude Opus 5 into Blender through MCP, and one of them is one-shotting entire 3D scenes now. Top is Luna 5.6 in fast mode modeling ship cannons with a firing animation. Watching the scene grow mesh by mesh in real time is a separate kind of dopamine. Robot VR control. All the existing "VR" teleop systems I tried felt like shit so I put together my own. Instead of just piping a camera feed, I do a 3d reconstruction so you get depth perception and 6DoF head movement. This feels waay better than a flat image (no 3d, might as well skip the VR), or directly streaming per-eye video, which gets you depth but leaves your view locked in place (0DoF lmao). Not really sure why nobody else seems to do this.

I've been using Ring-2.6-1T on OpenRouter for my documentation pipeline this week. My usual flow: I dump a raw codebase or a long spec doc into the model and ask it to generate structured docs, flag inconsistencies, and draft a changelog. With other models, I was splitting this into 3 separate prompts because of context limits. Each split costs tokens. Each split loses some coherence between sections. With Ring-2.6-1T, I sent the whole thing in 1 prompt. 38,000 tokens. got back structured docs, a flagged inconsistencies list, and a changelog draft in a single response. Coherence was intact across all 3 outputs. No context bleed between sections. Still running it through more workflows, but the single-prompt full-doc processing alone has already cut my per-task token spend significantly. And then the cost showed $0.00, and I sat there for a second 👉 #BuildInPublic #OpenSource
