AI can't replace a 3D artist yet. I gave a loop of AI agents two days to fix my animations. This is what I got back. Day 15 + 16 of building my own GTA 6 with a loop of AI agents. Today's progress: - Aiming works now, you can line up a shot properly. - Camera movement is in, it follows you the way it should. - Walking turns look right, no more sliding around corners. We have spent two whole days letting the loop work on the animations and got basically no improvement. The ones we're ending up with and the free ones off Mixamo both look cheap. So we're probably just going to buy a premium animation pack off Epic and hand it to Claude. Good news is aiming and the camera feel real now. Making the character move like it isn't a cheap asset is the next wall.

!Boring If this was going to be a camera app people would love, it had to do 4 things… 1. Feel satisfying in your hands (like a real camera) This is our first fully-3D interface with dynamic lighting that responds to movement, satisfying sounds, & custom haptics. Feels damn good.

This camera mod feels like how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was always meant to be played. One thing that irks me about the RPG AC games is how far the camera is from your character. It makes you feel like a tiny person in relation to the world. Odyssey already has an stunning world, but once you bring the camera in closer, this to me feels way more natural.

I sometimes feel like the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 were the last “true” console gaming systems. Starting with the PlayStation 3, things began to overlap more with PC, and it started to feel a bit like a PC-like platform. Of course, exclusives still helped set it apart from PC, but it didn’t quite have the same unique identity that the PS1 and PS2 had. Maybe that’s why I still really love those two systems to this day.

Testing out VirtuCamera for Blender 🔶 with one of our HD head scans. Super easy to use and gives you a really nice handheld camera feel. I did the camera work in Blender, then just exported the camera as an FBX to Marmoset and rendered it all in about an hour.

The previs workflow is still leveling up! My AI filmmaking process is starting to feel less like wrangling AI and more like animation. Still just cubes in Blender, but now I’m moving the character through space and doing a handheld camera follow. Same basic process: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance Seedance nailed the gritty handheld feel and followed the character movement around the car way better than expected. You can get way more ambitious with your directing than I thought.
