!! I really cannot believe this works. Large splat scene in VR on a Quest 3 using sparkjs. LoD budget is 500k splats. Runs about 30 fps. Full scene is ~6million splats. It's janky (sorry about the controls) But still, just insane this works at all ... (Metaverse is coming!)

Just made GPU-accelerated sculpt brushes for real-time splat editing splats: 🖐️ Smudge - Push splats like digital clay 🤏 Pinch - Pull splats inward (SHIFT shortcut) ✋ Move - Gentle repositioning, SHIFT for straight lines 📐 Flatten - Create clean surfaces in any direction 🌊 Relax - Smooth noisy areas, SHIFT to roughen/scatter ✨ ALT restores splats to original positions - like a undo brush! All running on GPU compute shaders for smooth performance even with millions of splats. This is a first look and beginner guide to Dolphin XR, the revival of DolphinVR rebuilt for modern VR in 2026. In this early test, we go through the basic setup, how to get games running in OpenXR, and the first steps to start experimenting with VR controls and configurations. It is still a work in progress, so expect issues, tweaks, and per-game adjustments, but the potential is already huge. full video here:
