45 here and I identify with every single thing she said. Gen X are not to be trifled with! We survived the 80s, 90s, and early 00s and we will certainly survive Gen Alpha or whatever these 'God on God no cap' children call themselves these days.

There was also eat all your dinner or you’ll have it for breakfast, neighbors fruit trees and gardens were fair game, floating the river without anything to sit on, building our own go carts, spot picked out in the shed for when you’re kicked out side all day, four channels on the tv that had a dial to change stations, pay phones, rotary phones and reading a map to go somewhere, water weenies made from surgical tubing from the drug store, returning cases of pop bottles to get more pop, tree forts, metal lawn darts, busses only picked up kids more than 5 miles away, the rest had to walk or ride bikes, u pick fruit and canning in the summer, deciding who was gonna take their parents smokes, no calculators, in-ground trampolines, sitting in the back of the station wagon sliding around with the groceries and happy you were out of arms reach of the random swing fist from the front seat😂
