Sprout was designed with safety at its core. If robots are going to exist closer to people, safety has to shape the entire system. It has to inform the materials we choose and the way our robot moves and responds in shared spaces.

You can be at home, minding your own business and still, danger can find its way to your doorstep. That’s not the way life is meant to be. At some point, we must stop and take a hard look at where we are. This isn't the future we were promised. We need to acknowledge what’s gone wrong, and we need to act, urgently, to make it right. We must bring back safety. Safety at home. Safety on the streets. Safety in our schools. Progress means nothing if we can't protect the most basic human right: to feel safe. I want to live in peace and harmony, not fear and harm. And I know I’m not alone.

American public transit has a safety problem. The fix is embarrassingly simple. 1. Attendants check tickets before you board. 2. Attendants walk the cabin regularly. That's it. Two actions. That's the entire foundation for making people want to ride trains again in America. We paid attention to people's fears and designed Dreamstar to maximize comfort & safety from day 1.

People say hostile architecture keeps spaces safe, clean, and usable. But here’s the issue: It doesn’t solve homelessness. It doesn’t address safety at the root. It just removes places to exist. Man tells the internet he intends to continue using women’s single-sex spaces despite knowing service providers can lawfully exclude him. Man says his feelings are hurt because some people called him a “predator” for saying this. Man claims he has been threatened with sexual assault. Man cries and says “we” are going to lose women’s spaces if people keep telling him he is a man. There is no “we” about it. He is a man. Women’s single-sex spaces are not his to lose. They exist to protect the privacy, dignity and safety of women. And this man needs professional support - not encouragement to disregard other people’s boundaries.
