Started back day with pull-ups. Gonna keep doing this and get the reps up - 8 is sad! How many pull-ups can you do with proper form?

Here’s 15 from a couple of weeks ago but I weigh 165

Long story short… it’s taken me about 27 years to lose 150 pounds. I’m not at my goal weight, but I’m now 200 pounds at 5 foot 10 with some half decent muscle I suppose. I was never even able to do one pull-up in my entire life, not even as a teen at 170 pounds. Last week I did 5. I was overwhelmed with my progress even though it’s not impressive to an average person.

Take your pick

32 here!

Damn

16 headed back to 20 after a tweaked shoulder. 68, 5'8" 165 lbs. I get a set in as soon as I walk in the gym no matter what I'm working that day. You're doing great for a big guy!

18-20 fresh with full extension at bottom. 6'1", 205lbs, 52yrs. I usually swap these for lat pulls every few back days in a set of 5-15,12,10, 10, 8 or something along those lines.

I’m a pussy lol

2. I’m still trying to get my upper body strength up after my bypass in October. Never really thought how long it takes to get strength back after they split your sternum down the middle and wire wrap it back together. But im 66 and feel better than in decades.

I bet 8 is better than 90% of men your size! I’m 160lbs and have really had to work to get to 15

pull-ups are a HUGE part of my swimming speed workouts now twice a week: Monday I go heavy, with pause and explosion for butterfly: 4 x 5 bodyweight warm-up, then: 4 x 5 with 30lbs rucksack Thursday high rep with pause at the bottom 4 x 12

my record in the marine corps is 25. i think i can still do 20

23-27

Pull ups tells the truth. Im probably at 8 honest pull ups. 3 years ago was around 21-25 😭

pull ups are my kryptonite.

7 but I am also 255lb and 6" tall. A year ago I did 0! 😭😂

I'm only at 8 right now,and I'm a lot lighter than you 🤔

Maybe 4

10

My max is 31.

10-12

8 is a coach potato result. Well maybe a little bit more than that

Guess we were on the same wavelength today 💪🏻 Still training to get to 15.

My understanding of pull ups is it’s just a volume thing. I’ve been trying to just “do more total pullups” on my back day than worrying about how many I can do at once. Seems to be true.

About the same. Working on them.

0. I can do 0 reps. Lol TBF to myself I am in like month 6 of serious weight lifting and I’ve been an office jockey for almost 20 years

14-16

20 plus. you should bring the feet forward and hallow body

Zero I'm fat rn 🥲

10 pausing at the bottom, aiming for 15.

I got up to 7. Had to lay off for a while, as my elbows started bothering me. I think I need to lose some more weight before trying to do more.

12

Full dead hang to upper chest to bar in leg full extension 17.

I don’t know. I start with muscleups then go into pull ups when I burn out.

Honestly pull ups suck but man they still work. 5 years ago i couldnt do 1. Back up to getting close to 15 clean reps. At 230lbs

I just made it to where I could get 1 chin-up, not even a pull up. I considered it a major milestone. I've always been 240+, with terrible back muscles. Get your gains bro.

My best is 27
