India’s highways are not just expanding they’re transforming Bharat's destiny. Infrastructure progress is not measured in promises but in highways. In 2014, India’s National Highways spanned just over 90,000 km. Today, under Nitin Gadkari’s leadership, they stretch over 1,46,000 km a 60% expansion driven by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in just over 10 years. From the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway to the Eastern Peripheral, from Lucknow–Kanpur to the Nagpur–Hyderabad corridor, India now builds roads at 35–40 km a day. These are not just highways they’re economic lifelines. A network where speed meets safety, freight meets future, and every milestone bears the signature of quiet, relentless efficiency.

On our way to Wawa, MPP John Vanthof and I watched a transport truck swerve off the highway. Moments later, the road narrowed from four lanes to two. This is the reality Northern Ontarians face every day. A drive to work, school, or a medical appointment can become a life-or-death situation. We’ve introduced legislation to make Northern highways safer four times — and each time, Doug Ford and his government shut it down. Across the North, communities are grieving loved ones lost to collisions on these highways. Highway safety shouldn’t be partisan. The good people of Northern Ontario deserve highways that are safe, reliable, and properly maintained. Nothing less.

That tells me every TAM in everything digital on this planet is wrong… We built every benchmark on human activity... how fast Facebook scaled, how fast OpenAI scaled, human eyes, human clicks, human speed. That's been the yardstick. And it's about to be useless. The new participants aren't human. They replicate at speed, communicate at speed, and don't even read the same websites we do. They don't need to. So it compounds faster and faster and faster, at a speed we can't see. We're about to lose the ability to measure anything at all.

PVNR Flyover in Hyderabad brings out some of the worst drivers. Its a 40-60 kmph speed limit. Solid white all over to discourage lane changes. The idea is to get on it and drive in your lane for the entire stretch at or below 60 kmph. NO Overtaking, No Speeding. But some drivers treat it as a racing track- they weave, and cut, and overtake in small gaps putting others at risk. We have to change our racing mindset to achieve safe roads. PS: Unlike highways, flyovers & bridges don't have 'Fast lane' or 'Overtaking lane', everyone must drive below speed limit and follow each other patiently. (I get this response very often so posted this 🫤) #RoadSafety

Jeff Dean says we’re going to have to re-engineer our tools because they were designed for human speed. An AI agent can run 50x faster, but the tools it relies on don’t. So even if the model gets infinitely fast, you only get 2-3x improvement overall. Amdahl’s law still applies.

WOW 🚨 California Democrats To Mandate Speed Limiters 100% of new vehicles MANDATED “California wants to make it harder for you to speed, so they just passed a new bill requiring half of all new vehicles manufactured or sold in the state to come with passive speed limiters” “Auto manufacturers will have until 2029 to get that accomplished, but by 2032, 100% of vehicles will be required to come with passive speed limiters.” “This would apply to all trucks, buses, and passenger vehicles with emergency vehicles being exempt, obviously.” “Californians will find out sooner or later if this bill gets signed into law, which it probably will be.”
