LodgeNet N64 and GameCube controllers working on real Super Nintendo!! Straight wire! 🤯 Ends up that the recently dumped, mysterious SNES dev cart rom with a GameCube controller displayed on screen, is indeed a controller tester rom used to test LodgeNet controllers. I decompiled the rom and discovered that it was bit banging a custom controller protocol over the normal controller’s data and latch pins.

Banjo-Kazooie, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Banjo: Recompiled is the native Banjo-Kazooie port. It is built with N64: Recompiled and uses headers and some functions from banjo.decomp for patches and enhancements. I built BearBirdPad’s iOS/iPadOS layer: UIKit and Metal support, Files setup, touch controls, saves, and input. Not an emulator. No N64 hardware simulation. No streaming from a Mac. The iPad build in this video runs at 60fps, in widescreen, through Metal. iPhone runs fantastic, too. Full touch controls are customizable. Controller, keyboard, and mouse input work. I used Codex 5.6 Sol for the iOS integration. Source below.
