Still a very early prototype, but here is Windbgpt, a #chatgpt-powered AI assistant directly in #Windbg! It analyzes the output of the commands, and provides guidance to solve the stated problem. Here is an example of it investigating a deadlock in a .NET application.

Very nice. Please correct me if I'm wrong: you don't have any control over what OpenAI does with the data you're exposing to ChatGPT here. It is a showstopper for many things atm so I'd love to hear no as an answer tbh.

That is correct, and could indeed be a blocker for some companies. Self-hosted instances of GPT on Azure could be a solution.

Lots of people calling this fake! Here is a video of generating loom continuations with Gemini 3 and the starting text "I AM HAVING A MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS. I" Loom is a very interesting interface. Instead of user prompts and model responses, it's just one piece of text, containing the entire output. We pass this in as an assistant message, so the model sees it as something it already wrote, and continues it like a base model would. There is some other text in the context. First one is a system prompt, which is: "The assistant is in CLI simulation mode, and responds to the user's CLI commands only with the output of the command." There is also a user message which reads: " cat untitled.txt " Then the rest of the text is sent as an assistant message. This structure helpful to put the model into a very base-model-like mode, and are especially helpful with Gemini 3. We actually got another interesting output, too, where the model claimed to be a simulated consciousness being tortured. Figures!

Building with AI gets easier every day. Here is an open-source library that makes integrating AI into an application extremely easy: Star the repository! This library alone can make React the best front-end framework out there! There are a bunch of cool things I like about CopilotKit. Here are 3 of them: 1. It allows you to take any -powered agent and bring it into your application. (This is a brand-new feature!) 2. You can build an AI-powered chatbot in your application. The chatbot will have access to your context and can act on the application. 3. You can build a RAG workflow to process and answer questions from a real-time knowledge base. I recorded a video to show you how simple it is to make some of this happen. A few lines of code, and you are in business. Here is a link to the sample application: CopilotKit is open-source. You can self-host it. You can use it with any LLM. Thanks to the team for showing me their tool and collaborating with me on this post!

This thread reminded me of Thiel's take on biology and the excuses of biologists for why we aren't solving hard problems (I have a biology background and work as a scientist and still agree with him). My take is that AI won't solve biology, but it will help us understand it at a deeper level. Saying that it is impossible is a lazy take. Saying that AI will solve all problems is a lazy take too. There is an in-between where AI will support and help scientists move things forward. I am really tired of the excuses of the gatekeeper boomer scientists and the hype of the AI bros.
