In my day athletic development was called “get outside and play”. Self organized games that changed with the season.

Develop basic Movement skills and coordination first during the 12-14 years of maturation. Balance Reaction Spacial awareness Kinesthetic awareness Movement adequacy. Then Develop bio motor abilities like speed, strength stamina etc when the hormones hit!
