I can't believe I'm sharing this, but here is 13 year old Tom, vlogging on his youtube channel from his bedroom. This a video from a channel long since shut down, from the year of our lord 2010. None of it is my proudest work - but I got better as I got older. I learned skills and made friends, some of whom I still know to this day. Making these silly videos over time taught me so much about video editing, talking to cameras, and being effective on social media. I failed a lot before I got better. But I had the chance to try. I developed skills that have helped me enormously in adult life. Had I not been able to make silly videos on youtube - and get motivated/excited about thousands of people watching them - my subsequent life would have certainly looked very different. Some might argue that would have been for the better, but it would have certainly been for the more boring.

q. it does feel like you stepped up as a songwriter on this new album… were there moments that stand out as where you felt like gone by I’m feeling good about my contributions as a songwriter here. 🐰: sure, I felt great! I don’t know if I would call it “pride” but I did feel really great... it’s been a long time since then we chose the songs and everything, but there’s one thing I still think about which is “why didn’t I do a little more? two months is really a long time… couldn’t I have done a bit more?” i have a lot of regrets about that!

I got the blizzard flu. One of the worst flu/fevers and aches and pains I’ve ever had. Finally got the fever to break for now with some DayQuil from the hotel but my blizzard coverage has been hamstrung. Here’s the view from my hotel room where it is still raging out there. Sideways snow now as the backside of the storm system is moving through.

"I would like to think that perhaps this is a judge who knows this is going to be really high profile, and maybe he's leading in one direction out of an abundance of caution to ensure that there's nothing that ends up causing any problems with this case down the road. But I don't know quite how you can look at the facts as they've been established right now and come to that conclusion. I hope that's what this ends up becoming. But again, I think a lot of us on the right and then awfully suspicious of some comments that have been made postures that have been taken by judges just around country, frankly, anything having to do with Donald Trump. Natalie Merchant - Then and Now Today happens to be Natalie Merchant’s 62nd birthday, but I’m not posting this for that reason. Over the weekend, I posted a random video I had on my phone of Natalie singing one of the songs from her time with 10,000 Maniacs. I was shocked by how many DMs I got from people who were emotional about seeing her come up on their screens. I realized she reminds them of a time that may not have been more innocent in reality but certainly felt more innocent, with no social media, a rudimentary internet, and few cell phones. Even though I was alive when “These Are the Days” came out, I also didn’t realize how many people had this song as their graduation theme.
