Hi Will, nice! It does not give me the option to choose pier.ply or biker.ply. Do you know what it could be?

Yeah. You need to load multiple PLY files into your scene to be able to make a selection. If there's only one PLY loaded (like in your screenshot), it's assumed that's what you're exporting.
