#Syria: today, the Government released ~400 #SDF/#YPG members, while SDF freed ~90 people detained over their support for the Revolution Around 1,500 detainees were released so far under the 29th January agreement, with only a few remaining (common criminals excluded) according to the Presidential envoy. Situation on Aleppo, Raqqa & Hasakah [2/2/2026]: On 30 January, a definitive ceasefire was agreed following an agreement reached between the Syrian Transitional Government & the Syrian Democratic Forces for the gradual political and military integration of the SDF. Among the points agreed upon, it is worth noting the limited deployment of MOI forces on the "line of separation" between the SDF/YPG and the STG, which have withdrawn from much of the front line. There will also be a limited deployment of the MOI in the cities of Qamishli, Hasakah and Kobani, as well as at the Sweidiyeh oil wells and border posts. In exchange, the SDF will create four positions that will be incorporated into the Damascus military apparatus, both directly and indirectly, as well as decision-making powers for the SDF in the governorate of Hasakah, which could be considered a form of autonomy alongside the rights promised to the Kurds two weeks ago. During the early afternoon of today, MOI forces began their coordinated deployment with Asayish forces in Hasakah and Kobani for the time being.

#Lebanon: the Imam Ali Complex has come under the spotlight recently, especially after Al-Jazeera leaks revealing how Assadists are building a network expanding across the Lebanese border. Built last year near Hermel (~10 km from the Syrian border) by Hezbollah with Iranian support, the complex was built to shelter Syrian refugees, along with a few Lebanese families who lived in Syria under Assad (mostly in area of Qusseir). I want to highlight this: Town of Marat in Deirezzor - members of the SDF have set up meetings with the residents there to discuss and talk with them. Here one of the residents says to the official „We don’t want you here, we want the Free Syrian Army“ - his opinion shall not be the focus here. I’d like to ask: Where else in Syria? Where in Syria can a men say to their administration that he doesn’t want him there? Where can a men in Syria raise his voice at a soldier? Where in Syria does the administration go from village to village to talk with the residents? Where in Syria does anyone care what the residents think? Where in Syria does an administration exist who tries to solve and include different opinions? Only in the AANES run by the SDF. Do that in an area held by the Turkish led SNA and see how you will be locked up and tortured. Go and do that in areas controlled by the HTS and watch how they’ll behead you. I dare any Syrian to do that.
