Today, CNBC released a new video with Consumer Reports comparing driver-assist systems. But there's a problem… in the video, they used Tesla's Autopilot, not Tesla's FSD (Supervised), and compared that to the top offerings in other automakers' cars. CNBC also claimed that Tesla lacked an effective driver monitoring camera, but Tesla does have one—so much so that some Tesla owners complain about its sensitivity. Camera based driver attention monitoring is less strict for Autopilot than it is for FSD (Supervised). Not once in the video did they test the latest version of Tesla's FSD. The Netherlands might be the first country in Europe to get Supervised FSD & in anticipation of that, Michael van Zandvoort from Tesla Magazine Michel van Zandvoort came to the USA to test both FSD 13.2.9 & Tesla Robotaxi along with getting a tour Giga Texas! Tesla asked me to give him a few robotaxi rides just before we went to the factory & here is what Michael had to say about his first hand experiences & his expectations for FSD approval in the Netherlands!

Just drove Tesla FSD for the first time in Amsterdam,🇳🇱 and it was super impressive in the busy Dam Square! Narrow streets, tourists and cyclists everywhere… yet it handled everything so smoothly. I’ve driven FSD in the US and Korea before, and also in Tokyo as a test. Now I can say it feels fantastic in Europe too. FSD in Netherlands shows how capable it has become!

New test results are coming in. A Tesla owner has now driven from Belgium back into the Netherlands and FSD (Supervised) remained active throughout the border crossing without disengaging. Earlier, the same driver reported that FSD became available in Belgium after driving approximately 1 km beyond the border. On the return trip, there was no interruption at all.
