Just lost ALL Autopilot, FSD, even basic cruise control and Tesla Technical Assistance says they can’t do anything and apparently my car needs to go to a service center for a software update even though there are no warnings on the car. I got an FSD strike and the whole system went down. They said they can’t turn FSD back on and forgive the strikes remotely even though they did just that in January 2025 for the California fires. When I drove from Nevada into California back then my 4 strikes disappeared. Even the Tesla Technical Assistance Supervisor (who was very nice) says they have no way to fix the car remotely and it must go to a service center. Unfortunately, now I need to drive over 1000 miles with no type of cruise control or driver assistance at all. There are no warning lights on or anything of the sort. I even did a forced software update via the service mode and my Starlink, plus a few hard and soft reboots and that still did not fix it. Sadly the car is now less safe than it was a few minutes ago. With how amazing Tesla FSD has become, I’m at the point now where I actually prefer to drive rather than fly in most cases. FSD allows you to travel cover an incredible amount of distance without any major fatigue since the car handles 100% of the driving, charging, and parking. It also makes the trips so much more fun and rewarding. People always ask, don’t you get bored? My answer is actually no, we get to explore so many new places along the way, take in the scenery more, and it’s just overall a more pleasant experience than manually driving and stressing about which exit to take etc. FSD handles all of that for you. If you have a Tesla, or are planning to get one, I highly suggest taking it on a road trip somewhere. It’ll be the best roadtrip you’ve ever taken.

I drove Tesla for the first time; I felt happy like a child for the first 10 minutes, and was totally disappointed the rest of the ride The autopilot feature is not available in the EU, but even the lane-control works extremely badly Tesla didn't recognize road works and almost crushed me into a barrier Then it went completely crazy on a temporary orange lane and started wiggling around The assistant consistently missed lanes and ignored speed limit signs, so I had to disable the assistant and drive manually I drove an electric BMW i4 before, and it had a much better cruise control and assistant (it boggles my mind that BMW kicked Tesla's ass in software) With BMW, I never had to touch the gas pedal and drove the car just using cruise control and speed limit assistant You could also set a speed limit, and even if you pressed full gas, it never crossed, which was handy in a city Tesla is still an insane product, the interior and exterior design are amazing, but it feels like an app with an amazing frontend and a very poor backend (at least in the EU) Driving gave me a lot of motivation to make more $$$, and I will still probably get a Tesla, and not a BMW bz BMW is a car for boomers

What is the answer for this? I know some people genuinely need wheelchair assistance, and I understand that not every disability is visible. But let’s stop pretending nobody is taking advantage of it. On our last flight, there were at least a dozen wheelchairs lined up to board. I have been flying for years, and you used to see one or two. Now, some airport concourses look like wheelchair parking lots. Cruises and cruise lines are the same. Those chairs are for people who truly need help, not people who are too lazy to walk through the airport or stand in line. Abusing the service only makes it harder for the people who genuinely depend on it.

When the first button operated elevators came out, people were freaking out. “No one’s driving it?!”, “No way am I getting in that without a human!” they thought. But over time, the fear faded. Now, you press a button without a second thought, trusting the system completely. That’s exactly what will happen with Tesla Robotaxis in my honest opinion. At first, people will hesitate, unsure about a ride with no driver. But soon, it’ll feel just as normal as calling an elevator. No pedals. Just seamless, safe, stress-free travel. Remember, at times, the future feels scary, until one day it becomes second nature. Then you wonder how anyone ever lived without it and for how long people have been gambling with their lives driving a vehicle manually. And this time Tesla Robotaxis will be no different, except with this technology, you’ll be able to get driven autonomously anywhere, not just within a building.

FSD 14.3.3 DU, first critical intervention. Drove about 100 k’s today. Mostly suburban streets. Multiple destinations, 5 separate stops (busy parking lots or residential street pullover). It was just SO good, I was mostly marveling, laughing and cheering it on. Then this happened, for no reason that I can see; a perfectly innocuous left hand turn, nothing complicated, the steering wheel got a serious case of the shimmies, and the car headed directly for the little concrete island. It happened so quickly that I took over without thinking. In hindsight, might it have made the turn? No. Might it have stopped before hitting the island? Possibly. Very uncharacteristic, hopefully something that Tesla AI can use … It drove beautifully for another 20 minutes after this, just like it had a brain fart and then got over it.
