NEWS: SpaceX has released a statement after today's successful 11th Starship test flight. "Every major objective of the flight test was achieved, providing valuable data as we prepare the next generation of Starship and Super Heavy. The flight test began with Super Heavy igniting all 33 Raptor engines and ascending over the Gulf. The successful first-stage ascent was followed by a hot-staging maneuver, with Starship’s upper stage igniting its six Raptor engines to continue its flight to space. Following stage separation, the Super Heavy booster completed its boostback burn to put it on a course to a pre-planned splashdown zone off the coast of Texas using 12 of the 13 planned engines. Starship re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere and was able to gather extensive data on the performance of its heatshield as it was intentionally stressed to test the limits of the vehicle’s capabilities. In the final minutes of flight, Starship performed a dynamic banking maneuver to mimic the trajectory that future missions returning to Starbase will fly. Starship then guided itself using its four flaps to the pre-planned splashdown zone in the Indian Ocean, successfully executing a landing flip, landing burn, and soft splashdown. Focus now turns to the next generation of Starship and Super Heavy, with multiple vehicles currently in active build and preparing for tests. This next iteration will be used for the first Starship orbital flights, operational payload missions, propellant transfer, and more as we iterate to a fully and rapidly reusable vehicle with service to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond."

NASA's 'quiet' supersonic jet completes first flight in potential breakthrough for commercial air travel | Morgan Phillips, Fox News X-59 aircraft designed to reduce sonic boom to a 'thump' could revolutionize commercial aviation A new "quiet" supersonic X-59 jet designed to revolutionize air travel successfully completed its first test flight, Lockheed Martin announced this week. The sleek, needle-point aircraft built for NASA is designed to break the sound barrier while reducing the sonic boom to a "thump," according to the aerospace contractor. The aircraft aims to overcome one of the major hurdles to supersonic travel, which is noise restrictions over land. The plane took off from Palmdale, Calif., at Skunk Works' facility at U.S. Air Force Plant 42, accompanied by a NASA chase plane. It landed safely about an hour later at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center. The plane’s unique shape is designed to greatly lower the volume of the sonic boom typically produced when a plane breaks the sound barrier. The long, pointed nose prevents adequate forward-facing visibility, so the pilot flies relying on a monitor in the cockpit. NASA has paid Lockheed over $500 million since 2018 to develop the plane. The plane, which measures just under 100 feet nose to tail, flew at subsonic speeds on its first flight, around 230 mph and reached 12,000 feet. The plane is built to eventually reach a cruising speed of 925 mph, or Mach 1.4, and fly at an altitude of 55,000 feet. "This aircraft is a testament to the innovation and expertise of our joint team, and we are proud to be at the forefront of quiet supersonic technology development," OJ Sanchez, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, said in a statement. The supersonic Concorde aircraft, developed by France and the U.K., began transatlantic flights in 1976, reached max speeds of over 1,300 mph and flew passengers from New York to London in just 3.5 hours. But high operating costs meant ticket costs were about four times higher than a standard first-class ticket, and the supersonic boom meant the plane could only fly at such high speeds over water. A crash in 2000 deeply affected public confidence in the plane, and it was retired in 2003. NASA plans to fly the X-59 over several U.S. cities in the coming years, gathering public feedback that could help regulators update decades-old bans on supersonic flight over land. If successful, the data could open the door for a new generation of commercial jets capable of cutting cross-country flight times in half — bringing back supersonic travel for the first time in more than two decades, but this time with far less noise.

Skyports Infrastructure is upgrading the Downtown Skyport to accommodate electric aircraft. And while it’s likely years off, Google parent Alphabet is already looking to bring its Wing consumer-delivery service to the five boroughs. “Say it’s Taco Tuesday night, and you’ve forgotten the ground beef. We’re going to be the fastest way to get you that ground beef, so that you can continue preparing dinner for your kids,” says Heather Rivera, Wing’s chief business officer, who lives in New York. The technology is here, these companies say. Another night, another long arc east… London Heathrow Airport to Hong Kong 🇭🇰, the Airbus A350 settling into cruise while the world slides quietly beneath us. Lately there’s been plenty of noise about GPS jamming and spoofing, so here’s the calm, practical version from the flight deck. Jamming is simply interference, other electronic noise overwhelming the GPS signal so a receiver can’t hear it properly. Spoofing is more mischievous, that’s nefarious actors broadcasting a false signal that tries to convince the receiver it’s somewhere it isn’t. Both can be inconvenient. Neither is new. And neither is a show-stopper for modern aviation. Airliners were navigating oceans long before satellites were part of the picture, using inertial reference systems, radio navigation aids, dead reckoning, time, distance, and a healthy respect for cross-checks. Today’s aircraft layer all of that together. If one element like the GPS becomes unreliable, the system doesn’t panic, it recognises it swiftly, dumps it, and reverts to one of the other systems. Crews verify, cross-reference, and carry on. That’s the quiet strength of modern aviation and aircraft, redundancy and judgement. No single sensor gets a veto. No single failure defines the outcome. The airplane doesn’t need GPS to fly safely; it uses it when it’s trustworthy and ignores it when it isn’t. From the cabin, the night looks serene. From the flight deck, it’s deliberate, systems monitored, assumptions questioned, margins protected. Just as it’s always been. Strike on the infrastructure of Dnepropetrovsk International Airport On September 7, 2025, at around 04:30, Russian units carried out precision strikes using Iskander-M missile systems and Geran-2 drones against the territory of Dnepropetrovsk International Airport. Under wartime conditions, the facility had long ceased to be exclusively civilian and was being used by the Kiev forces as a military logistics hub. 📍Coordinates: 48.3696541, 35.0966795 🔻 Main impacts The primary strikes hit an aircraft maintenance hangar and an adjacent administrative building. A large fire broke out, leading to the collapse of supporting roof structures and partial deformation of the metal framework. Fuel and lubricants stored in the technical area also ignited. 🔻 Hangar damage According to reports, the hangar contained equipment for flight operations support: • Mobile nitrogen and oxygen stations LOX/LIN type AGU-18, used for servicing hydraulic systems and oxygen equipment. • Sets of electric starter units GPA-40 and Hobart 90kVA GPU, intended for starting aircraft engines and powering onboard systems. • Ground-based radio-technical support units — including mobile VHF communication systems and elements of ILS (Instrument Landing System) equipment used for military aviation. 📌 Some of this equipment was completely destroyed by fire, while other parts sustained thermal and blast damage beyond repair. 🔻 Administrative building In the administrative block, the following were recorded: • Collapse of the upper floor. • Destruction of operator and dispatcher rooms. • Damage to cable collectors, which disabled the complex’s power supply system. 🔻 Military-logistical significance In recent months, Dnepropetrovsk Airport had been used as a temporary deployment point by the Kiev forces, serving functions such as: • Transshipment of military cargo, including ammunition and spare parts for armored vehicles. • Repair and servicing of Mi-8 army helicopters and drone platforms. • Supporting flights and refueling of transport aircraft. 📌 The destruction of the hangar with ground equipment and damage to the administrative block significantly reduces the enemy’s capacity to service aviation and manage logistics in the area.

A deeply disturbing incident has come to light from Indore Airport, where a female passenger alleges that she was harassed and mistreated by an Air India staff member during what should have been a routine boarding process. According to her account, the staffer snatched her boarding pass, behaved aggressively, and even threatened to call security without offering any explanation for denying her boarding. Matters escalated further when he allegedly attempted to snatch her phone as she tried to record the incident for her own safety.What makes this ordeal even more alarming is that she was travelling alone at night, feeling vulnerable and shaken, yet the airport security personnel standing right beside her remained completely passive, offering no assistance or intervention as the situation unfolded. Instead of safeguarding a passenger in distress which is their primary duty the authorities stood by in silence, effectively allowing the harassment to continue unchecked.The passenger further mentioned that when she attempted to document the incident, she was subjected to even more intimidation and harassment, creating an environment of fear and helplessness. It was only because of the support extended by fellow travellers who witnessed the unacceptable behaviour firsthand that she was ultimately allowed to board the flight. The staff had no legitimate grounds to deny her boarding, and their attempt to do so appears to have been an abuse of power and position.For someone who has been a loyal Air India customer for years, this experience has left her extremely distressed, shaken, and in complete disbelief. No traveller especially a woman travelling alone should be subjected to such disrespect, aggression, or unprofessional behaviour at an airport, of all places. This incident raises serious questions about the functioning of Air India staff, the training they receive, and the accountability mechanisms within the airline. It also reflects poorly on the airport authorities, whose silence and inaction contributed to the trauma faced by the passenger. When security personnel fail to protect passengers, it signals a dangerous lapse in protocol and a lack of responsibility.Airports are supposed to be secure, professional, and safe environments. Yet incidents like this expose a disturbing reality where misconduct goes unchecked, power is misused, and authorities look the other way instead of doing their job. This is something all Indians must understand leaving behind politics and ideologies: The massive boom in India's infrastructure in the last 10 years is undeniable. Be it highways, border roads, airports, trains, metros, or ports - there's a 100-300% increase compared to before. No joke. I have not seen this level of development and building for decades before. Projects are not just announced but are actually being completed and inaugurated. When you have this much infrastructure being built by thousands of contractors and companies, there will always be some issues come up. From bad quality here and there to delays in some. It happens in every country. Even in the most developed and advanced ones like the very large US or very small Singapore. They too have leaking metro stations, roads that cave in, bridges that break, and trains that breakdown. But only for India, there's a coordinated communist campaign being run online to blackpill Indians by lifting every issue around the large country, amplifying it as the worst that only happens in India, to destroy the credibility of India's development and government. If you suddenly start building 100,000 kms of highways, using thousands of contractors and hundreds of companies, yes there will be a few kms of bad patch somewhere or a bad contractor doing a shoddy job. Yet, that is being taken and amplified online to disillusion Indians about their own democracy, destroy their confidence, and derail India's development using their disillusionment. They are made to believe and say "Everything is bad, everything is corrupt." This is being done in a coordinated way targeting India's youth primarily. Because the adversaries know India's youth have no past experience to judge. And they are the ones who will take India to the future. They can be easily programmed showing only the glitzy images of Shangai & Shenzen to make them feel sad about their cities. They know by disillusioning them, and destroying their confidence, India's development can be arrested for a long time. If you as an older adult understand this and the significance of the current infrastructure boom for the future, it is your responsibility to inform at least a few of the people you know offline about what's going on. It's OK you get challenged, ridiculed, or even abused. Because we know the mental programming and blackpilling is that much these days. Yet, it is important to try make them understand for India's sake.

Breaking down what happened on China Airlines flight CI063 (Taipei to Vienna) on January 14, 2026... During takeoff from Taoyuan Airport, a tire tread from the main landing gear separated... a known occurrence with aircraft tires under high stress. The debris was flung upward and impacted the right wing, causing visible damage to the flaps and spoilers (no penetration to fuel tanks or critical structures). The passenger seated a Lufthansa aviation engineer, heard unusual sounds shortly after takeoff (around the time reaching Hong Kong airspace) and alerted the cabin crew. Initially told it might be normal, he persisted. When another pax overheard, he turned around, learned what was going on, and lent him his phone so he could show the crew takeoff video clearly showing the fresh damage. The assessment process took considerable time.. the crew consulted with the flight deck, maintenance teams on the ground, and dispatch while the engineer received periodic updates. With no critical warnings in the cockpit but visible structural damage confirmed, the captain elected to dump fuel and return to Taipei for safety. Aircraft landed without incident about two hours after departure. All passengers and crew were safe, and everyone was re-accommodated on later flights. Ground inspections later verified tire tread separation as the cause. The aircraft (B-18007, an A350-900) was removed from service for repairs, and Taiwan’s Civil Aeronautics Administration is investigating. The cautious decision to return was absolutely the right call, and the quick actions of an alert passenger plus thorough crew procedures prevented any risk from escalating. 😓 Air India 🇮🇳 Flight AI171 with fully loaded Boeing 787-7 Dreamliner fatal accident: I‘m an airline pilot with >15‘000h of experience and a physics institute: My brief PRELIMINARY analysis of the visible facts from the video of the takeoff: * The flaps are only slightly extended, presumably to position 1 instead of 5. * The landing gear is still extended, which should have been retracted at this altitude and causes additional drag. * The aircraft is at a high angle of attack, which confirms the insufficient flap setting. * From the video and witness accounts, only low engine noise is audible. * Neither smoke nor fire is visible. * An engine failure is less likely. The most probable cause is presumably a human factor, an incorrectly chosen, insufficient flap setting for takeoff, and consequently an inadequately selected thrust. In this context, the correlated speeds were too low because they were calculated for a larger flap setting or a lighter aircraft. As a result, the aircraft took off with insufficient speed and intentionally but falsely derated thrust, was therefore on the unstable side, and rapidly lost more speed and altitude due to the additional failure to retract the landing gear in a timely manner, leading to a subsequent stall at low altitude and crash. For the experts: the aircraft got onto the wrong side of the speed vs drag curve and maneuvered itself into a corner from where there is no escape. Another possible cause could also have been an incorrect input of a wrong takeoff weight into the Flight Management System, resulting in too low thrust and too low speeds. The pilots got startled after takeoff, couldn’t wrap their head around what went wrong and incorrectly prioritized making an emergency call instead of flying the aircraft first, manually increasing thrust immediately to maximum, and retracting the landing gear. In summary of this very early and preliminary assessment (your confidence level should be as low as mine): The most probable cause is human error 😓 - as most of the time these days. Not because the pilots got worse (although that effect can be observed as well with prioritization of diversity over competence) - but because technology got so much better.

Air India B-787 fuel switches: seen a lot of comments on "racism", "appeasement" to Boeing"; "Western superiority" in some comments, and, on my behalf, I assure you it is not. As seen on this simple video, there´s NO WAY the switches could move themselves. This is not based on this video alone - which clearly shows a mechanical lock, and the need to push up before moving it, as a fail safe - but also on the opinions of captains who fly the plane, technicians, safety experts, and also the simple fact that, despite dozens of B-787 operators worldwide, no one reported switches moving themselves. I said it here more than once: I´m not for conspiracies. You can hide the truth from one person, but to believe that dozens of pilots, investigators, technicians, lawyers, manufacturers, mechanics, etc... would all be duped this easily... seems a far cry. Mathematically alone, tricking all these folks, each with their reputations on the line, seems remote. Also, the source for yesterday´s "leak" is the " Safety Matters Foundation" - NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE prestigious Flight Safety Academy Foundation - appears to have an agenda to deflect blame on the pilots, despite all evidence (so far) pointing to deliberate action. (Also as a note, didn´t you find it dodgy that in 2026, with everyone and their dog having a 20 MP cellphone, the picture of the document, released by the said foundation, has such poor quality? You can hardly read what´s in there) I also find it strange that, on yesterday´s incident, given that, less than one year after a crash involving a B-787 with "supposed" malfunctioning fuel switches, the crew of the latest incident, instead of delaying the flight, and grounding the aircraft, simply opted to continue the flight. Short memory? I underline nothing against Indian Nationals - there are two readers here in particular - which I won´t nominate for privacy reasons - who are Indian Nationals and who always come to help with insightful opinions and respect, which I have in a very high regard. ("not seeing the forest for the trees"") Also, don´t think it was because the accident happened in India that I think less of the nation. Mental health in aviation has been a problem everywhere, the Germanwings is a sad example of that and I also think the attempts of cover-up lately, hinting it was not pilot suicide - by note, pushed by the pilot´s parent - were farcical.
