⚠️ THE ROBOT DIDN’T ENTER A ROBOT TESTING LAB. IT ENTERED A CITY. A humanoid robot is moving through a real urban environment with pedestrians, traffic and constantly changing space around it. There’s no empty runway and no perfectly controlled path - the machine has to keep moving while...

⚠️ ONE HUMANOID ROBOT IS IMPRESSIVE. WATCHING AN ENTIRE FLEET MOVE AS ONE IS A DIFFERENT LEVEL. Dozens of humanoid robots are performing the same sequence simultaneously, matching their timing across the entire formation. Every step, arm movement and change of position has to stay coordinated while each machine independently maintains its balance. One robot can hide a mistake - a whole formation can't. The choreography is almost beside the point. What you're really seeing is the ability to reproduce complex physical movements consistently across a large number of machines, without the formation falling apart. That kind of repeatability becomes far more important once robots move from controlled demonstrations into real industrial environments. And that's where the real breakthrough could be. The future of humanoid robotics won't be measured only by what one machine can do, but by how reliably an entire fleet can do it. One capable robot is a technological achievement; coordinating many of them turns that capability into a system. One robot proves the technology. A fleet shows what happens when it scales.

Researchers developed Hitter, a humanoid robot that can play table tennis in real-world settings. It was trained on the Unitree G1 robot to predict the ball’s path, choose the right shot, and react in less than a second. In tests, it achieved 106 consecutive shots with a human and even rallied with another humanoid robot.

Four Optimus robots. One factory floor. 🤖🏭 Walking, carrying, and working side by side — all at the same time. No teleoperation. No humans controlling every move. Just humanoid robots learning to work together in the real world. This isn’t one robot doing a demo anymore. The future is building the factory.

$13,500 IS ENOUGH TO BUY A HUMANOID ROBOT. BUT THIS ONE IS DESIGNED TO WALK THROUGH A MALL LIKE A PERSON! Look at the details: human-like face, real clothing, a shopping bag in one hand, and a mechanical structure exposed at the waist. She steps onto an escalator in an ordinary public space. The striking part is not a backflip or a dance routine. It is how close this machine gets to an everyday human scene. For comparison, Unitree lists its G1 humanoid from $13,500, with 23–43 joint motors and about 2 hours of battery life. That is a real price for a different robot, not the confirmed cost of the machine in this video. The hard part is building a robot that can do more than move on command. It has to balance, coordinate its joints, navigate human-sized spaces and handle unpredictable surroundings. A controlled demo proves movement. A public environment exposes everything the engineers still need to solve. The humanoid future may not arrive as a metal machine from a sci-fi movie. It may arrive looking almost ordinary, until you notice the mechanics.

Boston Dynamics has demonstrated its new Atlas humanoid robot lifting and carrying a 50-pound fridge. The robot uses its whole body to balance and move the heavy object in a natural, human-like way. Before doing it in the real world, Atlas practiced the task for millions of hours in a virtual simulation.

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban predicts humanoid robots will "fail miserably" within a decade: While most of the industry is racing to build robots shaped like humans, Mark Cuban thinks the entire premise is wrong. "I think everybody's making this push for humanoid robots. I think they might have a five-year lifespan and then they'll fail miserably. Maybe 10." His prediction covers more than just the machines. Asked whether he's referring to the companies or the devices, he answers: "Both. Both." His reasoning challenges the industry's core assumption: "Everybody defaults to well, we live in a human world and humanoids will take the place of humans for various functions particularly in the home. And I think there's just no chance." The evidence? Look at the places where automation already works at massive scale: "If you look at warehouses and what Amazon does, they're not humanoid robots carrying boxes. They're robots that are designed to fit the environment." But what about homes? Cuban has heard the counterargument that "a house is a house. You need a humanoid," and he rejects it entirely: "I think houses are going to be redesigned completely so that whatever the optimal robot is that allows it to simplify the house, that's where houses will go." Mark Cuban imagines robots shaped more like spiders or ants, working in houses where the pantry, refrigerator, and washing machines are hidden behind the garage. "That way you could redesign it so all the living space was for people because you know that the robots aren't going to be full form humanoids. They're going to be whatever the optimal shape is." His conclusion captures the whole thesis in one line: "You design the house to fit the robot and you design the robot to fit the house."

🚨🚨🚨Humanoid Robots Just Stepped Into the Ring** This is not really a fight. Not yet. The robots are slow, awkward, unstable, and clearly still learning how to move like athletes. But that is exactly what makes the clip interesting. A boxing ring is one of the hardest places to fake progress. Balance matters. Reaction time matters. Footwork matters. One bad movement, and the machine is on the floor. Today, it looks funny. But every fall is data. Every awkward punch is training. And every public demo like this brings humanoid robots one step closer to moving through the world with real physical confidence. The fight is not between two robots. It is between robotics and gravity.

BREAKING: Elon Musk says the Market for Humanoid robots like the Tesla Optimus Robot will be 1 Billion units per year, and Tesla can make $1 Trillion a year selling them. He predicts that they will ultimately sell for around $20,000 at a cost of $10,000, and Tesla will take at least a 10% market share of the humanoid robot market. Pretty impressive and the world is about to change. Musk believes that there will be at least 1 robot per human and perhaps much more than that.

TESLA’S OPTIMUS JUST CARRIED A $10,000+ GPU LIKE IT WAS A GROCERY BAG! The robot is carrying NVIDIA’s RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell workstation GPU while walking and keeping the package stable in its hands. That sounds simple until you remember what’s happening underneath: 2 legs balancing, 2 arms controlling the load, cameras tracking the environment, and motors constantly making tiny corrections. A task that looks completely ordinary to a human is actually a serious test of real-world robotic control. This is where humanoid robots get interesting. They don’t need to learn 1,000 completely different machines if the same pair of hands can eventually pick up a GPU, move a box, open a door, carry equipment, and perform dozens of other tasks. One general-purpose robot could potentially replace an entire collection of specialized machines. The hardware is impressive, but the bigger story is versatility. The moment a robot can reliably handle arbitrary objects instead of one predefined task, the economics of automation start to change.

🚨🚨🚨Elon Musk’s Robot Now Dances More Naturally Than Most People The strange part is not that the robot is dancing. It is that people are standing around it with their phones out, watching it like an entertainer. A few years ago, humanoid robots were mostly lab footage. White rooms. Slow steps. Engineers nearby, ready to catch them. Now Optimus is being shown in public as something people are supposed to react to. Not just a machine. A performer.A product.A glimpse of what Tesla wants the future to feel like. That detail matters. Because the first real breakthrough for humanoid robots may not be perfect intelligence or perfect speed. It may be the moment people stop treating them like experiments. And start treating them like part of the room. That is when robots become normal.

We’ve all seen humanoid robots doing backflips and dance routines for years. But if you ask them to climb a few stairs in the real world, they stumble! We took our robot on a walk around town to environments that it hadn’t seen before. Here’s how it works🧵⬇️

Robotics is entering the mainstream! 👀 Let's accept this fact. Consumptionism – stonks. Possibilities (HW + SW) – stonks. Demographics - not stonks. Modern robots are often designed to interact with our legacy world, whether it's a household, a factory, or a shipyard. That means they often need to work with existing machines, tools, and spaces. In short: retrofitting. Improving old machines with new technologies without major interference in their operation. Modern way of integrating things. You don't have to change the entire environment to deploy a robot. The robot will adapt, just as human would when freshly hired. The promise is to have an army of robots to help with the world designed for us. I also believe that general purpose robots, are not a direct competition for single purpose machines (like a highly efficient specialized packaging machine, for example). It's like adding a robot to this carriage. Specialized machine could be a car ;) ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news →

Modern manufacturing robots are far more precise than they look. A six-axis industrial robot can move a tool through several metres of space and repeatedly bring it back to within a few hundredths of a millimetre. Some precision oriented systems achieve repeatability of around 0.02-0.05 mm. That precision is one reason mass manufacturing looks the way it does today. A car body can move through a factory floor while robots weld the same points, drill the same holes and paint complex surfaces with almost identical movements, thousands of times over. The first industrial robots entered factories in the early 1960s, mostly doing repetitive and dangerous work. Sixty years later, they can repeat precise movements thousands of times with a consistency that humans simply cannot maintain at industrial scale.

ELON: TESLA’S ROBOTS ARE MOVING FROM SIMULATIONS TO REALITY “For the robot, we’re going to need to build a lot of them and put them in an Optimus Academy so they can do self-play in reality and test different tasks. Tesla has quite a good, physics accurate, reality-generator, and we’re doing that for the robots. So you can do millions of robots in a simulated world, and then 10k in the real world to close the simulation to reality gap. Grok would orchestrate the behavior of the Optimus robots.” Source: Cheeky Pint Podcast, Elon Musk

The first humanoid robot to walk itself off a production line XPENG’s IRON just came off its first mass-production line. And its first stop?-> An XPENG 4S store. it's born to work. Greeting customers. Guiding people around. Moving things. Taking on the repetitive tasks that make up everyday work. IRON is a highly human-like humanoid:full-body flexible skin, lattice bionic muscles, a human-like spine, with natural-language interaction and, apparently, the first humanoid robot proven to be non-human. So,IRON will start withstart with the jobs that are dangerous, repetitive, or simply no one wants to do, then move into more parts of everyday life. But getting a humanoid into the real world requires more than building the robot itself. XPENG had to build its humanoid production line from scratch. Automakers have decades of manufacturing experience to learn from. Humanoid robotics has no comparable playbook. XPENG’s 110,000㎡ humanoid robot production base in Guangzhou is built to support a target of 1,000 IRON units per month by year-end, with capacity ready to scale as market demand grows. From building the factory from zero to putting the robots to work in 4S stores. Soon, we’ll see the IRON fleet enter the real world.
