This is no disrespect to Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Wire but this was the original. There are episodes and series that may be better but James is the North Star on prestige TV performances.

An absolute fucking masterpiece.

Just by this one clip you can tell that this is the greatest show ever made/written/directed/acted period.

I think JG was truly emotional there, just being a parent and worrying about the kids.

Love this scene. There is also one in particular with he & Edie Falco having a viscous fight & it’s SO real & raw, you felt it in your bones. They were so good together 🙏🏻
