"You swing too much" imagine telling Mr Olympia he doesn't know how to lift.

I don't conventional deadlift because it's not needed for bodybuilding. Deadlifts are a great strength exercise. Rack pulls below the knee are often a better hypertrophy exercise. More direct upper-back and erector stimulation and less systemic fatigue. Do you conventional or do you rack pull?

Benefits of a rack pull By setting the bar at a higher position in a cage (typically about 1-2 inches right below the knee cap), we can eliminate the bottom portion of the movement off the ground which is going to 1) Allow us to use more weight 2) By shortening the bar path we're focusing on the lockout portion of the deadlift which is primarily a back dominant movement. More load, more tension on the back, less reliance on the hips and legs to get it moving like a Romanian deadlift Rack pulls = great for packing on slabs of meat to your back

Development of traps comes from explosive pulls like Olympic lifts, heavy pulls like deadlift variations, heavy overhead work like stabilizing a load overhead or heavy presses and heavy rows.

Stiff Leg Deadlift- 405x11 🚂 If I HAD to choose a deadlift variation to build a bigger deadlift..these are definitely at the top of the list.
