And also, another interesting fact that I think not many have noticed is that the dialogue at heaven’s night (after the cutscene) changes if James doesn’t examine anything and leaves early with Maria (if I remember correctly he gets angry at her).

That’s so interesting! i thought there were 2 cutscenes (the second one I triggered by being closer to the white curtains) but I didn’t know there was a third one. Also , sorry for my bad english

The inventory's background shows the moment James kills Mary from the OG SH2 (see end of the video). At first it's slow and blurry because James is getting flashbacks but he's in denial, and it becomes clearer and faster after the Pyramid Heads fight, when he accepts the truth. The inventory's background also changes depending on James' health state, it can appear sped up, shaking, and with colored filters over it. #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake

Here's an Easter egg that breaks the 4th wall in SH2R; The player can actually affect what James hears and we can see it from his reactions. Disabling the monsters' sounds in the Lakeview employee section won't trigger James' alert animation, re-enabling it triggers the animation, and so on. And in the video you can also get a clearer look at his alert animations. #SilentHill #SilentHill2 #silenthill2remake

If you go back to the Observation Room after encountering Pyramid Head, the intercom will turn on again. This time it will be Mary crying and asking "Do you hate me?" and James will get head tremors. There's a monologue by Maria, that strongly implies James is a mental patient and the story has repeated more than once. It was cut into several parts and scattered in her sound files directory. James can get a nervous tic if he gets too stressed. It can only trigger after he enters Brookhaven, the hospital likely triggers a PTSD response and the stress remains afterwards. Interacting with a red square stops the tic. Perhaps what helps is the feeling of "someone groping around his skull" that he mentions in the opening..? As though something "resets" his nervous system. The tic triggers randomly when James gets hit and when Abstract Daddy or a Mandarin screams (even if they don't hit him) #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake
