There's something mesmerising about staring at procedurally generated Diablo-style items with affixes and rarities. I had to vibe code a custom art generation tool to make consistent art for this game. It's not perfect but it's getting there.

'The Stupid Cupid' is a wonderful showcase for Tashlin's SCOT art. Daffy is especially mesmerising to watch. There's a perfect control over him, as Tashlin only manipulates specific body parts at a time to exaggerate their emotion. It's a mix of snappy yet still lively animation.

Vibe coded a fun little "Breakout-inspired" game where you control a gnome with a cannon trying to defend its garden against an onslaught of insects. Cursor was used to make this game, I mainly alternated between Grok Code Fast, GPT 5 and Sonnet 4.5 models. I used LOVE2D game framework/engine, it's really growing on me. The art for this game are hand drawn by me. Music and sound effects from itch.

Before: Break down tasks into micro-prompts with specific tasks Now: Write a longer feature scope > Plan mode: Ask for proposals > Review proposed plans > Build I'm able to build an Autobattler prototype in 3 days as a result. It has: - 8 mercenary classes to recruit and fight for you - Diablo 2-style Item generation system with 100s of thems with random affixes and rarities - Formation-based Turn-based Combat and spell systems - Procedural dungeon runs with randomised events and enemy battle encounters It's accelerating. I can feel it.

.Jeff Siner and I recorded this The Charlotte Observer interview with Greg Olsen a while back but never found the perfect place for it. But this story he told us - about 5 very superstitious Panthers who HAD to take the same road to every home game in 2015 - seems perfect for playoff week. I know it's kind of long - but stick with it - it's hilarious.

Been seeing so much harsh criticism on this piece and it made me sad cause I think the art is great (yes, even with all the reds) but it could def benefit off varying its values a bit for visual clarity! Did a quick 10 min edit so it's messy and not perfect since it's something I struggle with myself but hope it helps to show that a little goes a long way! This also doesn't mean the original is "wrong" cause it's all just preference but I tried addressing what some people were mentioning since I thought it'd be a helpful visual for an art fundamental 🖤
