Each Russian missile used by these beasts against our country contains components made by companies in other countries, not Russia. A Kh-101 missile has at least 53 such components. A Kh-47M2 Kinzhal contains at least 49 types of components that are not manufactured in Russia. The majority of these components are produced by companies around the world and brought to Russia through shady schemes. It is imperative to block such schemes and those who support them. Odesa is recovering after yesterday’s strikes on the city center. Museums, the Philharmonic, many historic buildings, and the famous Odesa hotel were damaged. The attack targeted not only Ukrainians but even Norwegian diplomats working in Ukraine. Russia is gradually ramping up its daily attacks with Shahed drones and missiles, still using Western components to do so. In October alone, over 2,000 Shaheds were launched against Ukraine—almost every single day. Such a massive number of Shaheds requires over 170,000 individual components that should have been blocked from reaching Russia. They come from companies in China, Europe, and America—lots of small but constant contributions to Russia’s terror. Head of Russia is clearly taking advantage of the moment while the world is almost entirely focused on the prospect of establishing peace in the Middle East. Most countries, all key leaders, have their attention fixed on what is happening there. And this is truly a good opportunity to achieve real peace in that region after so many victims. And this is a new low in Russian depravity – to intensify terrorist strikes at a moment like this, hitting the very lives of our people. Just last night alone, nearly 500 drones were launched in multiple waves, about 200 of them “shaheds,” also 32 missiles, mostly ballistic ones. Only one response can be given to this: more strength, more air defenses to protect our critical infrastructure, and increased pressure on Russia so that they are truly held accountable for everything they do. Sanctions must be tightened – and we are discussing it with partners – and Russian assets must be fully used to strengthen our defense and ensure recovery.

For such terror, the occupier must be held accountable before the courts and history. They are already facing the strength of our warriors—all those Ukrainians who are restoring justice, destroying the occupier, and defending our positions. Sanctions against Russia must also be strengthened. Both existing ones—it is critical to eliminate any circumvention schemes—and we are also working to tighten sanctions. Our institutions are working on the synchronization of European and Ukrainian sanctions. We are also fully aligning the European sanctions package targeting the regime in Iran, which includes numerous individuals, companies, and entities not only involved in military production and external terror schemes against neighboring countries in the region, but also in internal repression within Iran itself. It is one of the most brutal regimes in the world. No surprise that Putin found common ground with it. Global sanctions against Russia must now be one of the top priorities. They are a real tool for limiting Russia’s strategic capabilities and potential, and they must increasingly and painfully restrict Russia’s ability to continue its war against our independence. All night long, rescue operations continued in the Kyiv region following a Shahed drone attack. Residential buildings were damaged in Brovary and Hlevakha. Tragically, three people lost their lives. My condolences to their families and loved ones. There are also wounded who are receiving the necessary medical care. The rescue operation finished only at 9 a.m. I thank all our State Emergency Service workers, medical personnel, police officers, and everyone involved in saving lives. I also extend my gratitude to every leader and every country exerting pressure on Russia to bring this unprovoked and terrorist war to an end. In particular, there must be accountability for every component supplied in violation of sanctions and used in the production of Shahed drones and missiles. Russia would not be able to wage this war at all if its accomplices were truly restricted from supporting this terror and frontline offensives.

And every such wave of Russian strikes reminds us of two things: air defense – we need more systems, more coverage across our country – and also our long-range strikes on Russia. Russia must feel the consequences of what it is doing. Sufficient counteraction is needed to force them to seek peace. That can be achieved with adequate strength of our army, our long-range strike capabilities, and strong sanctions and pressure against Russia. Right now, we are defending ourselves from Russian attacks almost every day. This week alone, there were more than 1,500 strike drones, over 1,280 guided aerial bombs, and 50 missiles of various types. The world needs to see that terror is losing. When Patriots in the hands of Ukrainians ensure one hundred percent downing of any Russian missiles, terror is losing. When the world increases pressure on Russia, including sanctions, when the terrorist's isolation grows, when its former partners are ashamed of any closeness with Moscow, terror is losing. And of course, there is no greater humiliation for 🇷🇺 terrorist state than the success of our warriors. No one else in the world uses weapons against evil more effectively than Ukrainians.
