It was perfect for co-op gaming with mates. Programmed by Andreas Tadic and Peter Tuleby, with graphics by Rico Holmes and iconic music by Allister Brimble. 1. Top-down run-and-gun sci-fi shooter heavily inspired by Aliens: You (and a friend in co-op) explore an infested space station, blasting xenomorph-like aliens (I originally thought they were aliens) while managing limited ammo and health. It mixes fast arcade action with tense resource management. 2. Team17’s breakthrough hit: This was only their second game, after Full Contact, and their first full-price release. It put the UK developer and publisher on the map, before they became famous for the Worms series. 3. I got my Amiga in summer 1986, so it's celebrating its 40th birthday these days. As with so many things in life you often appreciate them more when looking back. The Amiga was a truly remarkable computer, and for several years in the 80s it dominated the market (both in terms of hardware and software sales). Obviously, it did not stand a chance against the shift toward PCs and consoles in the 90s. However, it didn't just fade away over night but still gave us incredible games in its later years. I have long thought about what I personally consider to be the best action platfomer for the Amiga. I know some people will nominate Prince of Persia, but I think if you are more literal with the word action platformer, the vote should go to Turrican 2: The Final Fight. It is now entering its 35th year, being released in 1991, and still looks and sounds absolutely awesome. Super detailed and vibrant graphics, smooth scrolling, great weapon systems, and last but definitely not least, a banger soundtrack by legendary composer Chris Huelsbeck. The game showed what was still possible with the Amiga and easily rivaled even the high end console games of the time. If you ask me, Turrican 2 is the undisputed #1 action platformer for the Amiga. Agree or disagree?

Team17 took their Gauntlet-meets-Aliens top-down shooter, doubled the levels to 12, cranked up the tension, and dropped it at budget price in 1992. (I was going to say...“So you cooked up a story and dropped the six of us in a meat grinder" but wrong franchise, LOL! The result? A frantic corridor crawler that stayed in the UK charts for over a year! Narrow space station halls crawling with xenomorph-style horrors, key hunting, door bashing, power-ups, and that unmistakable Amiga atmosphere. In space, no one can hear you scream... (back onto the right franchise) but on your Amiga 500, you heard every blaster shot and alien screech in glorious 32 colours! This was one of the definitive Amiga action games. It took over around 40 museums in Ukraine. This stuff happens all the time in totalitarian and authoritarian countries that want to whitewash history for the benefit of propaganda. It's not about highlighting, putting one thing in this corner versus that corner. It's the difference between history and propaganda. And museums should not be in the in the business of propaganda

wait this show is kind of a sleeper hit of last season what the fuck did they just revealed in the last episode WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE VILLAIN WAS ANOTHER ISEKAI PERSON WHO CAN VIEW AND GAIN SKILLS THIS WHOLE TIME TOO??? in any other show this antagonist would just be some overpowered protagonist but in this one it seems like they've become consumed by the power fantasy and lost their humanity. MC and villain were cut from the same cloth but one was an evil dragon who wanted to do good and decided to be a hero despite the circumstances for the people around him while the other is an evil slime who deceived and stole skills to make themselves stronger for themselves.

People saying 'leaving a negative review for being upset about launch day is crazy' is unfair. A review includes the whole game experience, including waiting in queue on the first day. Can people be understanding of the situation? Yes. Should people force themselves to not review what they experienced? Not really. If a game does well, it will eventually get a better overall review result. Also, about the whitelist or priority queue, I was also skeptical about its existence without proof. But the CEO mentions they have them in an interview video. I understand people like the devs and everything, but calling people crazy for using their customer rights is weird. Expecting people to be thoughtful of the product they purchased while not being able to play for 3 hours, and be like, 'Today is the first day and devs must be struggling. I've been kicked from the queue and sent back to the end of the queue, but yeah, I should leave a positive review.' Or 'A priority queue exists for a reason. I'm not able to play after purchase for 3 hours, but another guy has privilege over me? Well that's understandable since that's what profits the game devs! I should leave a positive review!' These thoughts are crazy.

People saying 'leaving a negative review for being upset about launch day is crazy' is unfair. A review includes the whole game experience, including waiting in queue on the first day. Can people be understanding of the situation? Yes. Should people force themselves to not review what they experienced? Not really. If a game does well, it will eventually get a better overall review result. Also, about the whitelist or priority queue, I was also skeptical about its existence without proof. But the CEO mentions they have them in an interview video. I understand people like the devs and everything, but calling people crazy for using their customer rights is weird. Expecting people to be thoughtful of the product they purchased while not being able to play for 3 hours, and be like, 'Today is the first day and devs must be struggling. I've been kicked from the queue and sent back to the end of the queue, but yeah, I should leave a positive review.' Or 'A priority queue exists for a reason. I'm not able to play after purchase for 3 hours, but another guy has privilege over me? Well that's understandable since that's what profits the game devs! I should leave a positive review!' These thoughts are crazy.
