If the journalist maintained his composure from the moment he walked in the door, I would file complaints against all of the officers, library employees and sue them all for violating my civil rights. Many people are arrested everyday for not knowing their rights.

Yes, they can ask you to leave a public building if you're committing a crime of trespass or disturbing the peace. The First Amendment doesn't give you the right to protest wherever, whenever.

🚨BREAKING: A U.S. citizen in, Vancouver, WA, was pulled over by FIVE police cars for legally observing and documenting ICE agents… then had to explain the Constitution to the officers detaining him… And it was all caught on video. In the video, an ICE agent didn’t like being watched, called local police… Then suddenly, the U.S. citizen, exercising his constitutional rights, was surrounded by FIVE cop cars. And most ridiculous part? The officers who claimed “reasonable suspicion” for detaining the U.S. citizen, could not even answer this simple question… Is it legal to observe and record law enforcement? After refusing to answer, and arguing about the First Amendment for several minutes, the officer finally admitted… Yes. It is legal to observe and record law enforcement. So, if it’s a legally protected activity… then why was this U.S. citizen detained? Federal courts, across the country, have repeatedly recognized that the First Amendment protects the right to record and observe government officials… including law enforcement performing their duties in public… as long as you aren’t interfering with them. That means, local police, and ICE agents, don’t get to decide when that right applies… They don’t get to ignore the Constitution because they’re uncomfortable with public oversight. That does not fall under First Amendment protections.” He then asks why we are even bothering discussing the law with these protesters and people like Don Lemon. They don’t care about the law. They defend illegals who break the law by coming into the US. The only way to get these protesters to stop is to enforce the law. Arrest and jail the protesters who invaded the church in Minnesota. My Statement on Conditions for the Use of Firearms by Police Officers I have seen debates, reactions, and expressions regarding my recent statement on the use of firearms by police officers. My statement was made contextually and consciously with clarity of mind based on the express provisions of the law. No leader, scholar, jurist, journalist, blogger, or opinion shaper has challenged me on the law. At my age, position, and experience, I cannot utter statements that are not supported by the Constitution and the law. Throughout my career, I have never, in my conduct or utterances, found myself on the wrong side of the law. Indeed the Sixth Schedule of the National Police Service Act, in Paragraph B(1), provides the conditions for use of firearms by the Police as follows: 1.Protecting the lives of officers or civilians 2.Self-defense against imminent threats of death or serious injury protection through justified force 4.Preventing the escape of felony suspects from lawful custody I ask all those who are spreading misinformation, disinformation, and fake news to challenge me on the law. Those who are saying I issued an order to the police should show where the order is. A mere restatement of the law as it exists cannot amount to giving an order to the police. The Police are mandated by law to operate within the constitutional framework, the statutes, and the departmental standing orders. In any case, I have no constitutional powers to give such orders; instead, I have a duty to support the police and to formulate policy recommendations to aid the application of law in the enforcement of law and order. Our police officers who are attacked by robbers, rioters, and arsonists—who have torched police stations, stolen rifles, burnt suspects alive, and burnt property worth millions of shillings, including courts —cannot be left helpless when they have been given the authority by the Constitution and the law to defend themselves, the citizens, and their property. The law is in black and white.
