🚨BREAKING: A U.S. citizen in, Vancouver, WA, was pulled over by FIVE police cars for legally observing and documenting ICE agents… then had to explain the Constitution to the officers detaining him… And it was all caught on video. In the video, an ICE agent didn’t like being watched, called local police… Then suddenly, the U.S. citizen, exercising his constitutional rights, was surrounded by FIVE cop cars. And most ridiculous part? The officers who claimed “reasonable suspicion” for detaining the U.S. citizen, could not even answer this simple question… Is it legal to observe and record law enforcement? After refusing to answer, and arguing about the First Amendment for several minutes, the officer finally admitted… Yes. It is legal to observe and record law enforcement. So, if it’s a legally protected activity… then why was this U.S. citizen detained? Federal courts, across the country, have repeatedly recognized that the First Amendment protects the right to record and observe government officials… including law enforcement performing their duties in public… as long as you aren’t interfering with them. That means, local police, and ICE agents, don’t get to decide when that right applies… They don’t get to ignore the Constitution because they’re uncomfortable with public oversight. But this isn’t the only incident. Across America, we’re watching local law enforcement work alongside ICE, while ordinary citizens, journalists, and legal observers are being questioned, detained, and intimidated for exercising their constitutional rights. And the fact that a U.S. citizen had to educate the officers, who were detaining HIM, about the Constitution… should outrage every single person. $Man proves your rights do not change due to the weather outside or the time of day. At around 3:00 AM during snowfall, an individual equipped with a long rifle, tactical vest, and face covering was walking along a public sidewalk near Rocky Mountain Motors. He stated he was out "training" in cold-weather gear. Englewood police officers approached and ordered the man to place his hands on his head, detaining him and placing him in handcuffs dispite no crime being committed that they could articulate. The man immediately invoked his First, Second, and Fourth Amendment rights, arguing that open carry of a firearm is lawful in the state and that officers lacked reasonable articulable suspicion of criminal activity. In the eyes of these officers, walking with a rifle outdoors at 3:00 AM during a snowstorm raised suspicion and justified stopping him for identification. When pressed on which law or ordinance was violated, officers acknowledged that open carry itself was not illegal and quickly realized that the constitution does not change based on the time of day. Lacking grounds or an articulated criminal infraction to mandate identification or prolong detention, officers ultimately removed the handcuffs and released the individual without charges. While it was great to eee these officers realize their error as the light bulb clicked on in their brains that what they were doing was in violation of this man's rights. Unfortunately we know in other areas with different officers, this could have turned out much worse. This is why it's important that men like this gentleman, test our rights for us to help educate these cops that they must actually honor the oath that they all took to defend the constitution of our country. Know your rights folks, and do not fear exercising them.$

I'm seeing this video for the 1st time. 😰 Why does our police force not pursue rapists with the same intensity when women are sexually assaulted in our country? These are peaceful student protesters exercising their rights. What is deficient in our law enforcement system? Instead of targeting murderers and rapists, they are pursuing common Indian women who are advocating for justice.

Imagine being so offended by a camera that you try and "cancel" the First Amendment. In this clip, we see Officer L. Sullivan (#1408) and Sgt. S. Heustis responding to a "harassment" call at Carolina Couture. The "harassment" in question? Standing on a public sidewalk and recording. 1st amendment protected act. Sullivan’s approach is the definition of "Karen Cop" behavior. Instead of shutting down the nonsense, she validates the boutique owner's delusion that she can control what happens outside her storefront on it public sidewalk. The back-and-forth about identification and "policy" vs. "law" is exactly why these audits are necessary. Watch as the officers try to navigate the gap between what the boutique owner wants (a private sidewalk) and what the Constitution actually allows. Spoiler alert: The sidewalk is still public, and the "Karen" energy is still through the roof at the Scottsdale PD. The real scary part is that if it were up to any of these officers they would have not hesitated violating the rights of these gentlemen just to satisfy the store owner if they could get away with it. They all failed at their oath to protect the constitutional rights of the citizens.

The man backs away, does not interfere, does not block agents, and does not make physical contact. Despite this, the agent says: “Do you think this is a big game? Is this a game to you guys? That’s why that lady got hurt the other day.” That statement matters. The agent is threatening a U.S. citizen with lethal force for protected speech. That is illegal. Law enforcement cannot threaten, intimidate, or retaliate against civilians for exercising First Amendment rights. He said this to a man who was unarmed, on foot, and not posing any immediate threat. By the agent’s own words, Renee Good was not shot because of self-defense, but because she was drawing attention to ICE’s presence. That is not a lawful justification for using deadly force. The Fourth Amendment does not allow dragnet seizures. The Fifth Amendment does not permit racial targeting by the federal government. Immigration authority does not erase equal protection. A street roundup based on skin color would be the kind of government power the Constitution was written to restrain. Race is not probable cause. Skin color is not suspicion.
