This is environmental terrorism. A public dog park turned massive environmental disaster caused by the homeless. ghost Tara Faul and I were shocked at the destruction. Worse yet the state who owns the property and the county who manages it has always been aware of the problem

and has done nothing about it. This is not a new problem. I went there with three mayors in 2021 (Two conservatives and a left leaning moderate) and we were only shown one very specific area by the county. It was suspiciously, clean and suspiciously small. Only about 15 camps

with a perfect looking path that looked recently raked. There was almost no trash and actually looked quite quaint. It’s as if they knew we were coming. They also insisted that was all the homeless and no one used drugs. At the edge of this small encampment there was a dead

end, sign implying there was nothing else to see. My mayor glanced at me and rolled his eyes. Soon after I retuned without the county to learn the truth. I returned and less than 500 yards from where we were I discovered one of the largest manmade messes I had ever seen. It

was clear they were keeping the truth from the public. Soon after I took a conservative city counselor to the dog park to show her what was happening. We were both outraged. Her and I organized a trash pick. This video shows the before and after.

About 25 concerned citizens showed up and we picked up about six thousand pounds of trash that day. It barely made a dent but felt good that we were at least part of the solution. Rather than

being commended the county went on the attack. They told us the trash we threw away were homeless belongings and not trash. Rewatch the video and make your own judgment. We returned a few days later and spoke to a homeless

man who said they were instructed to block any efforts we had to ever clean there again. He was being nice about it, but another man with a dog threatened to sick it on us if we did not leave. Regardless, I continued to return regularly to document. This is a fire I found

which are common there due to all the human activity. I called. 911 and escorted a few homeless away from the fire. It took about an hour for the firetrucks to arrive because there was no roads. They had to walk in holding handheld extinguishers.

Another reason we should never allow the homeless to live in the woods. It’s almost impossible for any type of emergency services to get to anybody or anything who needs help. Now four years

later, I would say the mess is about five times larger, which is saying a lot considering then I was screaming. “Oh my God this is crazy!” What has happened is completely inexcusable. It’s equally frustrating that three of the four cities surrounding this major park

had major issues with the destruction but as long as the state and the county oversaw the area there was nothing they could do. They had no authority. People need to be outraged, people need to never forget, and people need to start voting differently for the state they want.
