This is how I code in standalone VR (no PC!) I use a Quest 3 and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and connect to all the apps I need via Fluid. It’s really nice having unlimited screen space and full control over my workspace.

Haven't had much time to work on the mod but Max Payne in VR standalone on Quest 3 already feels pretty amazing. This is just the tutorial level but the baked lighting looks really good on Quest. Frame rate is solid so far too and bullet time is awesome. Now I just need some hands and two handed gunplay and I'll try an actual level 😅.

For people who don’t get the 2D gaming on virtual monitors in VR use case: HMDs have the potential to be the ultimate monitor for any content. Any aspect ratio, any resolution, any size, it’s all “native” in vr I get to play my game on a massive screen while I have spatial awareness, see my wife, take a sip of coffee, and have depth correct rendering content in my room. If and when I choose to, I can “turn off” my surrounds and go into a virtual environment. It’s MR by default, VR by choice Nobody has really taken this use case all that seriously and optimized the hardware/software around it. Now, it seems like Valve is. Also some context: I’m streaming SW Jedi Fallen Order at 4k 90fps my PC to my Vision Pro, and playing the audio thru my surround sound speakers. It’s the best of ALL worlds

And it works!!!!!!! 😍👌 Made a whole computer room from 1995 with Three.js on the web using Claude Code (on the server) in just a few hours I can connect to the internet and surf the web, play DOOM and mIRC and read the news, all in 3d now I like going super close to the screen and see the pixels I can't get blended occlusion to work yet though (so screen still shows as a perpetual overlay), maybe mrdoob knows how to fix And I have to figure out how to add that border-radius/distortion to the screen too But very nice progress for today 😊

This is brutal. I moved a tarp in the hen enclosure and uncovered a rat or mouse nest. The hens grabbed all 3 babies and ate them 😩😩 .. Here’s Katie Hopkins running around with one (dead) in her mouth…. I guess it’s better than poison (which I don’t use) but in my opinion it wasn’t fast enough.

Finally, after all these years, GTA San Andreas VR has arrived on Quest 3 standalone 🤯 But not officially and not thanks to Meta or Rockstar, but thanks to a modder GeT_RiCh (creator of the VR mod for GTA Vice City on PCVR and Quest) who in a few weeks did something that large corporations had not been able to do before - he created a mod that added a VR mode to the game and ported it to Quest 3 standalone 🤩 Modders once again show that nothing is impossible for them 😃
