i just re-watched SIGNS on VHS and i sat in front of the TV the entire time like i was 12 years old again. you can all have your 4K but this is my shit.

I have a long standing grudge with Shyamalan from an interview I heard one time where he said he wished he didn't have to have music in his movies. Muhfuh you got James Newton Howard throwing 100mph and you're saying you could do without it?

that's very odd - i don't think the vast majority of his best scenes work even half as well without the scores he got from Howard.

interesting. that's the one shot i think breaks the flow of the motion. it's cool on it's own but in the sequence i've felt like it was off, i just wished it had a push in.
