Sorry champ! I’m a fan and have much respect for you, but as someone with 25+yrs practicing physical therapy extensively…this isn’t exactly nerve flossing…not an effective demonstration at least. No disrespect…just not it! Happy hunting!

Yeah nerve flossing is great. I usually lie in plow pose/halasana and do the same as you here, alternating legs and it really helps especially forst thing in the morning

Dude, he's doing it wrong. Seriously, upon leg extension its required to lift your chin up (not down which he is doing enthusiastically). The nerve connects to your cranium, the way he's doing it pulls the sensitive nerve aggressively from both ends.

More of a nerve stretch than a floss from what I’m seeing but happy that it’s helping champ!

Simulation of breast stroke while on a floor fixed my back problems. Sometimes I do the superman pose on the floor as well. Both helped immensely!

I’ll try this variation. Usually I do it standing up, the coach who taught me called then elephant walks

Great position to floss for wrestling athletes. Lot of PTs only do it in sitting or supine. Try isolating just the ankle or neck in the furthest stretch position for a true floss at end range.

Interesting! Reminds me a bit of how ELDOA works. Fixed my slipped disc in L5/S1 with it.

Why do you do it sidelying instead of chair sitting

Wow..i was told to do the same lying on my back..nerve gliding. To help with my sciatica and my herniated disc issues. It works wonders

Respect! this is nerve tensioning, not flossing. Flossing would be head back with leg forward, and vice versa

Glad it's been helping you. It's always encouraging to hear when a simple exercise makes a real difference. As with any back issue, it's worth checking with a healthcare professional to make sure it's appropriate for your specific condition

Great share. Doing hot yoga 2-3 times per week is the best thing I’ve found to stay flexibleand for my back.

I find doing that but lying flat on your back with leg flossing at 90 degrees is also very effective as is sitting in a chair doing it of you're stuck. Game changer.

Sciatic impingement within the hip is a major factor in low back pain. Myofacial release technique can be helpful for this. I would check the psoas muscle as well just to be sure.

deadlift days used to leave my lower back locked up for two days straight. this plus actually training my hamstrings fixed most of it. underrated.
