Egypt is an indispensable partner for the EU. Its diplomatic leadership has been crucial in preventing further destabilisation in the Middle East. Together, Europe and Egypt deliver concrete results in trade, investment, security, and science. Our relationship is already strong, and we are making it even stronger. My press conference with Foreign Minister Abdelatty in Cairo today ↓

Hello from New Delhi where the EU is moving closer to signing “the mother of all deals” with India at a summit tomorrow. Trump’s tariffs have brought the two closer (India currently operating on prohibitive 50% tariff regime) in what Brussels and Delhi call a win-win. I spoke with the very powerful and influential trade commissioner Maroš Šefčovič🇪🇺 “it’s a new chapter in our strategic relations”.

A strong summit in Brussels. We opened our first negotiating cluster last week, and today we took stock of where we are — on reforms, economic development, and security and defence cooperation. Moldova is doing its part, and we count on the 27 EU member states to do the same.
